Gaming doesn’t just test your aim — it tests your emotions. This episode of HissingThoughts looks at why we rage, why it matters, and how awareness inside a match can translate to real emotional control outside it.I’m not preaching here — I’m still learning. But this is what gaming has taught me about frustration, self-regulation, and how staying in the struggle might actually be the best training for life. Also available with a call of duty mobile gaming backdrop on YT: https://youtu.be/KOBCI1hFOhQ?si=sRyhzkhsRKm68pYf

Today's podcast deals with the mental side of health. Inner issues that impact the outer. It is taken from a gaming live-stream I was running over at https://www.youtube.com/c/HISSINGTHOUGHTSGAMING and a fan in need started asking some serious questions, which resonated with all present. I'm not an expert in this subject, I just have my own experiences to draw upon. If you are in a place of crisis then I suggest one of the many helplines that each country has. But hopefully this episode is received in a postive light for the light it shines on some of the subject matter. The music appearing in this episode is written by me and my band, Shades in a Dark Room. They are all un-mixed, un-mastered and un-released. Works in progress, almost finished.
Because this discussion started during a gaming live stream it also explores the concept of playing games as a means to help with issues such as depression. Or to help you grow as a person. Gaming therapy. It's more common and useful than you think.

If a pod casts in the digital forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Sometimes it’s good too look for the good in the bad. The sooner, the better. Tell me about your favourite #happyaccident by going to the anchor podcasting app (or anchor.fm) and leave me a message. (Press message, not record. Otherwise you too could become and accidental podcaster. Would that be a bad thing?)
