In this week’s World of Sports, the Denver Nuggets dismantled the Miami Heat in 5 games to claim the city and franchise’s first-ever NBA championship, Nikola Jokic cements himself as the world’s greatest current living basketball player, LeBron James and the Lakers are left wondering if maybe they were the 2nd best team in the NBA this year, while the Heat went 2–7 in their last 9 playoff games, which is, uhhhh, not great! Oklahoma Women’s Softball team set an astonishing record by going 61–1 this season en route to their 3rd consecutive College World Series title, a fan at the Indianapolis 500 had their car damaged by a ricochet tire, prompting the Indy 500 organizers to gift the fan a brand new car, the Major League Baseball season continues to trot along as they near the halfway point of their 162-game marathon, Novak Djokovic makes history by winning his 23rd Grand Slam tennis championship, and Kurtis went to New York City, where he watched a Yankees game live and in person, but we cannot confirm or deny if he spotted the ghost of Babe Ruth underneath the stadium. We also predict the Over/Unders for 6 key NBA offseason free agents, contextualize the OU Softball dominance, pick our longshot choice for the Men’s College World Series winner, and take our best guess at the type of car Indy 500 gave some “lucky” fan. ––High Jinx #71Twitter: @highjinxsportsFacebook: High Jinx Sports ShowInquiries/Suggestions/Anecdotes/Ideas: highjinxsports@gmail.com
