In the past few years, no one person has had as large an influence on the Santa Fe Animal Shelter as Executive Director, Mary Martin. This is the inspiring story of how she ended up here and helped save thousands of homeless pets.

Lester is the sort of dog that probably would not have made it in other shelters. He was dejected when he arrived to us and would remain in the corner of any room he was brought to. Jamie, one of our own staff members, decided to give him a try and are now inseparable.
