Leonardo M M Jorge
No frills, no bla-bla-bla, just one music, every Mon/Wed/Fri. Songs will mostly be fan-made versions of videogame soundtracks, all freely available on the internet (in sites such as VGMix or OCRemix). I'm just reposting some of them that I like, to share with friends.

Quickening (Faraway Promise)
To start well the week, the wonderful "Quickening", adapted by AVARIS and LEVEL 99 from the song "Faraway Promise" from Xenogears. It's the first song of "Humans + Gears", a Xenogears' themed CD made by OCRemix. For those who don't know this game, is another *great* RPG for PS1, featuring the giant robots called Gears. This game sits as the second best RPG I've played, and very well recommended (I've heard that it's off for download on PSN for PS3 right now) It has no official sequels or prequels, even though Xenosaga was developed by the same team, and has lots of similarities, but is not officially a prequel. Afternoon Tea with Snappleman's Mom
The SNES had an impressive list of RPG titles, and today's music is from another great one, Terranigma. This song, "Afternoon Tea with Snappleman's Mom" performed by OA (or HopeFails on the old Dwelling of Duels site) is based on the "Town" song from said game. Terranigma is not as well known as other RPGs for SNES, but it really shoud be played by RPG fans. It has a complex story that develops alongside the evolution of Humanity, you can even interfere with great experiences that changes mankind! Toe Jam & Earl
Whoa, this one is long, but worth listening! Or even better, go see the video (link below)! Toe Jam & Earl is one of the oddest, but dearest games made by SEGA, and had a very distinct funky soundtrack. And this adaptation, made by "Os Gameboys", get all the funkyness and strangeness and takes them to a new level. These guys are great! (And I'm not saying that just because I know them) Original Artist: John Baker Source: Toe Jam & Earl Performed by: Os Gameboys Homepage: http://goo.gl/7GfL1 Video: http://goo.gl/JSEZP

Deadly Promises
Jumping from a great RPG to another, this episode features "Deadly Promises", by Darangen, an adaptation of Terra's theme from Final Fantasy VI. Described on the OCRemix site as the "'Freebird' of the unofficial game music arrangement world", this song has several adaptations around the web, but this one is one of the bests. It placed third on the March 2005 edition of Dwelling of Duels. Doki Doki Panic (And Mario Too)
And now, coming right after Sonic, his utmost competitor (at least two decades ago), Mario! This song, performed by "Hat", was placed 4th on the 2005 July edition of Dwelling of Duels, and it is from a game that's not exactly Mario, after all... Let me explain: The original japanese "Super Mario Bros. 2" is what's now known as "Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels". At that time Nintendo of America didn't liked the game, as it was too similar to the first Super Mario Bros., but insanely difficult. So they instead adapted another game, called "Doki Doki Panic", to fit Mario World. It wasn't very difficult to adapt, as the other game already featured coins, POW blocks and jumping sounds, and even it's soundtrack didn't had to change much as it was also made by Koji Kondo, the original Super Mario Bros. composer. And that's how the american "Super Mario Bros. 2" was created! And also, that's why today's song is called "Doki Doki Panic (And Mario Too)" Original Artist: Koji Kondo Source: Overworld BGM of "Super Mario Bros. 2/Doki Doki Panic" Performed by: Hat Homepage: http://goo.gl/7TbPm
