As someone who has been going through depression and anxiety, it’s so incredibly gratifying to hear you speak and describe your emotions and internal monologue to yourself. I speak to myself the same way. Coupled with the calming beats, hearing you describe those thoughts and feelings so precisely and eloquently helps bring me back to balance and reality on topics that usually set my mind racing. I feel weirdly empowered hearing you go through similar things and still continue to work and be excellent at what you. So thank you!

Mary HK Choi’s latest episode was outstanding. Maybe it was the snow storm the day it was recorded that allowed for the deep dive. Both host and guest came in to record while the rest of NYC was bundled up at home. That dedication set the table for a great interview. Mary and Hua Hsu (Go Bears!) are 2 prominent Asians that have created their own lanes. Showing the next generation that traditional paths are not the only option. Put in the work and execute. Don’t wait for permission. I first learned about Mary’s story via her episode on Complex’s Blueprint. Then went down the internet rabbit hole to read/see more about her. I couldn’t get enough. And now she has her first book “Emergency Contact” dropping 3/27/18. Go get that and support the culture! Much like how Eddie Huang’s “Fresh Off the Boat” & “Double Cup Love” (another great episode) was a watershed moment in the culture, I predict the same impact. I hope she embraces her position even more and goes hard in the paint. She is an inspiration for creatives to do them. She’s cool, smart, and her voice is sexy af.

This podcast inspires me to ask better questions of the folks in my own life whom I don't appreciate. Mark HK makes everyone's day to day feel super-heroic and inspires me to work harder and with more humility. This is a super podcast, one of the greats.

The show is great but I need more consistency one show a week would be great!

I somehow discovered this podcast stumbling upon Sickamore's IG this morning and now I've been listen all day. It's informative, insightful and the host asks the best questions. I don't mind that she is interviewing her friends because the chemistry is authentic.

Interviewer could go beyond her friend circle to dig a little deeper and get out of her comfort zone. This podcast has potential but needs more substance.

I used to wake up screaming every night not knowing what to do with my life. Now, thanks to this podcast, I've found there are brilliant people in the world who have truly cool jobs. My night terrors have decreased by almost 30 percent and I'm currently enrolled in a [redacted] training program that will have me [redacted] in [redacted] and [redacted] around the world!
