A podcast that supports and encourages.
I’ve been listening for a little over a year now. This has become one of my favorite podcasts. The insight offered by Jared and his guests have renewed my spirit and reminded me why I wanted to be a police officer in the first place. Thank you for all your hard work putting this show together. It’s much needed for so many of us.

The Best Officer Wellness Podcast
This show is an amazing resource with a wide range of interesting guests who all give wonderful insight and wisdom to law enforcement and those who love cops. I’m just a civilian—I don’t work in law enforcement at all. But this podcast is teaching me how to love on and serve those around me who serve the community so well.

Perfect for a Commute
“Hey Chaplain” has become my podcast for my commutes. I am still working through the back episodes, so I can usually listen to two episodes a day, and I am finding myself looking forward to my commute so I can learn a little more about how I can better serve the officers I work with.

Hours Long Binge
I recently had a 16+ hour road trip and discovered this podcast at a Peer Support Chaplaincy Conference a few weeks ago. I decided to listen to a couple episodes to see what Hey Chaplain was about. 9 episodes later I was still listening making my trip fly by. I enjoy that each episode has great insight for both First Responders and Chaplains. I took away something from each episode. Each episode is usually under 40 minutes or made into two parts making it easy to listen to on a short commute or binge multiple episodes on a long road trip from the archives.

Just what I need and needed
January 1, 2023, we started, with an inaugural group of pastors, Chaplain‘s ministry for our county. throughout our time of trying to put together a Chaplain ministry, we struggled with what to do, what to include, training, and certifications. How do we do what we do when we don’t have an example to follow. We are just starting.
I did a lot of research and we got to do different trainings and we have developed what will be a wonderful chaplains ministry here.
Also, being someone that listens to podcasts, I checked out many different ones. However, Jared‘s podcast has struct accord in my heart, and I do my best to share it with other, law-enforcement, other chaplains, and pretty much anybody that wants to listen to me talk a little bit about chaplaincy.
I am currently doing my best to be back in shape and so I do a lot of walking and this is my podcast of choice. I am learning about different ministries that can be a part of chaplaincy as well as part of law-enforcement that I have never understood before.
Thank you so much, Jared, for what you do, for what you have done, and what you continue to do for the Law Enforcement community, and those that happen upon your podcast.
Lastly, I asked some of our deputies about their worst car, and it seems that the Crown Vic is probably the Victor of the worst. 😁
Thanks again!

Every coo or person who loves a cop should listen to this podcast
Jared is very laid back and his guests tell it as it is. I use clips for training and for my own personal growth.

One of the BEST Podcasts for LEOs anywhere online!
Hey Chaplain Podcast is one of the best and well produced podcasts for Law Enforcement Officers, Sheriff Deputies, and Federal Agents anywhere in the Podcast world.
Jared Altic has that natural "Broadcaster's Voice" that you instantly recognize and he is meticulous at choosing topics to address issues, concerns, topics, which are relevant to Officers and Chaplains based on what's happening in the world. He balances intense, emotion filled episodes, with light-hearted and down right funny episodes.
Make no doubt its a podcase about Police Officers for Police Officers first and foremost. But Police Chaplain both new and seasoned, can find golden nuggets to take away and use in their own work their officers.
Finally, its a great podcast if you are joe or jane civilian. Its a great way to hear about the side of Law Enforcement you won't hear on the local news. I dare say it will change you view of Police officers for the better.

Very insightful into law enforcement
I appreciate the transparency into how we all feel but don’t know how to express ourselves. Lots of wisdom and lots experience I found myself relating to.

Best series and best episode yet!
Episode 34 is by far the best I’ve heard. The insight and wise guidance offered in it is the most informative I’ve yet heard. My Call to Fire Department or Boy Scout Chaplaincy, will be after a career of professional building code Official work and over a decade in Lay Ministry. This episode didn’t draw me away from those communities I hear Gods Calling me to, but this story has given me great paths to explore and training to expose myself to as well as awarenesses I must have. Thank you for this podcast.

Helpful & encouraging without hype
As a chaplain coming new into the law enforcement community, Hey Chaplain has given me an inside look that you don’t get in a classroom setting. Here’s the thing: I’m not the target audience, cops and other first responders are, and their families. And I don’t have to think twice about recommending this podcast to them because it’s not about religion, even though faith is part of a number of the discussions. This is truly the one podcast I listen to regularly.

Uplifting and Engaging
This podcast is like a hug. I’ve been looking for an interesting podcast that didn’t have a bunch of garbage thrown in (cursing, vulgar topics, etc) but that was also interesting and kept my attention. I’m so glad I found this podcast.
I am not in law enforcement, but work in emergency medicine, so I enjoy hearing about life on the other side. :-)
I’ve so enjoyed every episode and am glad I have many many episodes left to go before I completely catch up. So very encouraging. Thank you for your great work!

Encouraging & Entertaining
I am thoroughly entertained by this podcast. The stories- funny, serious, uplifting, and insightful- are an encouragement to those who listen. Jared does a good job of keeping the time appropriate so it works well with a drive home or a good run. I would encourage those interested in law enforcement or are somehow related to LE, to listen.

Hey Chaplain
Powerful and insightful conversation between a chaplain and a law enforcement officer. Honest portrayal of events in the life of a cop. Would highly recommend taking the time to listen and gain further appreciation for those who put their lives on the line.
