It has been a few months since I posted regular episodes, but that is changing now. I am resuming this podcast and in this episode we talk about going beyond your comfort zones to try new things.

Sometimes we give up things that bring us joy because "only kids" should enjoy it. In this episode I discuss if that may play a role in some of the challenges we see in the world.

It is good to be back! In the kickoff episode of Season 2, I spend some time talking about how season 2 will be different then season 1 as well as give some brief thoughts related to hell, the purpose of life, and more. I hope you join me through this season!

This episode is a heavy one. Over the last few years we have seen Christian Nationalism rise to national prominence and unless more people start speaking out against it that trend will just continue.  So here is my "brief" take on Christian Nationalism.   

There are times on our journeys through life that we must take a stand for what is right and to speak out against injustice, etc. In this episode I discuss times when I have had to take a stand and the cost of doing that. How do we continue to speak out knowing that there may be a cost to doing so? 

In this week's episode I discuss the events of Uvalde as someone that was in high school when Columbine happened. I share some of my reflections, as well as my opinion on "thoughts and prayers." n 

Sadly racism has once again been brought to national attention due to the events in Buffalo, NY on May 14th.  How do we deal with racism? What do we do as people of faith? Should we even talk about race or does that just make the issue worse?  These are all questions I wrestle with during this episode of Here We Journey.

I was blessed to be able to go and see a WWE Hall of Fame member perform his stand-up/one man show. During that show he shared some thoughts on success.  Since hearing that thought I have been reflecting on how I define success.  I share some of my thoughts and reflections in this episode of Here We Journey.

I also discuss why Christmas and Easter must inform each other and why without one the other does not have meaning.
