I wore a linen shirt (that I bought and only wore for this wedding). I got a hair cut. I had to get a new passport. I went online and got ordained by the Universal Life Church. I wrote a lovely ceremony full of heartfelt thoughts and funny jokes. I printed my remarks on fancy paper and shared it with the happy couple. My feet got wet during the ceremony because the tide was coming in. I’m sorry, I guess.

I really enjoy this couple, but the last episode was less than 1/3 about the Bachelor show. It’s a Bach show so let’s try and keep on topic please! Five stars with the expectation of more bachelor coverage.

I came late to this podcast - post divorce - and really wish I had found it sooner. I’d love to know the whole Nathanial story and his connection to the breakup of such a seemingly compatible couple. I love your recaps - so smart, so insightful, so funny - but most of all I love your banter where you break into shared references of often obscure movies, TV or songs. Truly brilliant and so simpatico. I enjoy you both so much, but I’ll have to end with a small criticism. I wish, Anna, that you would stop adding the schwa A to so many of your words.

The only bachelor pod I listen to anymore! You guys are hilarious, keep it up. But please stop saying the phase “it’s giving”! I thought that was just a gen Z thing! Anyway I am a long time listener and fan!

Update: Well it looks like I was wrong about him keeping Maria around so he could sleep with her. Guess we wont know if she is a freak in the sheets. I look forward to this podcast EVERY week. Your recaps are the best thats out there and your honest takes are what I am here for. You guys dont sugar coat anything. I am also loving all the comments about Maria cause I could not stand her from day 1. She is such an attention seeker and needed to be sent home a long time ago but I agree, he just wants to bang her and find out if she is a freak in the sheets.

Spoiler alert: I’m sorry but I agree with Miki(sp?). Both the hosts have become insufferebale. They have gotten gradually more negative and self-righteous. Also their singing voices need A LOT of work, far too nasally and pitchy.

I just started listening this season, and Anna and Ryan are my new fav podcast hosts! The chemistry and sense of humor is on point in their bachelor recap show, and on the totally opposite side of the spectrum, the raw vulnerability of separation anxiety is truly something special I’ve never heard before. I am learning so much from these two brave people sharing their journey and also giggling along with their recaps.

If this podcast is the wrong reason, then I don’t want to be right! Each week “I just can’t help myself” from anxiously awaiting their take on the Bachelor franchise shows we all love to hate. Anna and Ryan have such a fun, unique, and captivating way of recapping and reviewing each episode; from the movie/tv-show quotes, to the outbursts of song, to their candid thoughts on the Bachelor antics - it’s never a dull moment! And while my heart breaks for their marriage, their new “Separation Anxiety” episodes are also a great listen. Thank you for this little window into how you’re navigating your evolving relationship, and in the process allowing your avid listeners to learn a thing or two through your struggles and triumphs during this difficult process. Anna and Ryan are hands down the best Bachelor Franchise podcast duo out there! They are the English professors I wish I had in college and the married couple I wish I could talk to about relationships, literature, rhetoric, politics, movies like Center Stage, 80’s and 90’s television shows, and of course the Bachelor! Based on the references Anna makes, I think we are very close in age, which is just one of the many reasons I love this podcast. I have actually jotted down some notes before writing this review so I don’t forget anything I want to say! Little do you guys know, but I listened to your first podcast on the morning of my new job as a substitute high school teacher. But that was only the beginning of all the firsts I would experience while listening to your podcast. I began interviewing for a full time teaching position at several schools and it just so happened that each interview coincided with a new episode. I began listening to previous seasons once I found a podcast streaming app that went all the way back to the very first episode. I was listening to Here For the Wrong Reasons on my first day as a high school English Language Arts teacher too. I can relate to almost every comment or reference made on the show, whether that’s literature, academic papers on the Bachelor you want to write (I’m jealous about how easy it is for you to come up with a title, that’s something I struggle with), how horrible Ethan Stiefel looks now, crappy student papers, guys on Anna’s list who are also on my list, asking someone from Maine if they know Stephen King (I literally do the same thing each!), and aggravation over the improper use of the word “literally.” I love listening to Anna and Ryan banter and laugh at each other. Anna definitely gives Ryan a hard time, but he takes it really well it’s clear there is truly so much love in their relationship. I wish I had half as much love, laughter, and literature discussions in my own relationship. I recently watched Matt Grant’s season and Ali Fedotowsky’s season and now I finally have context for all of Anna’s quips about Matt and Kasey! I have one thing to say to anyone who leaves a negative review for this podcast; in particular to the recent one by “SecretSlob.” Did you know that you don’t have to listen to a show you don’t like? That you can *actually* just keep scrolling until you find a show that shares the same political view or ideology that you have? We all have a right to our own opinions and beliefs, including podcast hosts. Writing a negative review that brings down the overall rating just because you don’t agree with what they are saying (shocker in this divisive political climate) is ridiculous. Just listen to something else. These are the same type of people who leave a negative Yelp review because they didn’t get to sit on the patio of a waterside restaurant after they requested it on OpenTable, but fail to look at the restaurant’s website which clearly states that there are no reservations allowed for patio tables. Okay, rant over. Thank you Ryan and Anna, for unapologetically staying true to yourselves and for being a part of MY journey as a new teacher. Now you know that you have been with me every step of the way. This podcast has made me laugh so hard that tears came out, and I had to hold my hand over my mouth to muffle the sound to keep from waking up anyone in the house. I hope this review isn’t coming in too late this week and you get to read it before recording the last podcast of the season. I love you guys and I love this podcast. ❤️🥀

I cannot get enough of Ryan and Anna. I wait patiently every week to have my comic relief of the train wreck that is the Bachelor re-capped by this insanely hilarious duo. I’ve listened to around 10 different bachelor podcasts over the last few years and THIS IS PRIME! They are absolutely hilarious (pictures cry laughing/drink out of your nose kind of hysterics) and the banter pre re-cap is one of a kind! If you need a break from the mundane….do it!!! ❤️

Hello, long time fan of your podcast! It’s really annoying that the bachelor is making it sound like Clayton is from a small town, when in fact Eureka, MO is a middle class suburb of St. Louis. It’s probably 30 minutes from the Arch. For some reason it feels like the franchise is trying to make him seem like he’s from the same 8 person town as Chris Soules. Thought as a fellow STL resident I’d help set the record straight.

Update: I still love listening to you every week. You make me laugh and I watch every episode religiously even when it’s boring (Clayton) just so I can enjoy your podcast even more that week. One of your tens of Hawaii listeners checking in. This has become not only my favorite bachelor podcast, but my favorite podcast altogether. I started listening in June, and am just finishing my second binge of the archive. Love the dynamic between Anna and Ryan, and being included in all the blah blah blah as they dissect the stupidity that is this show. As a new elderly parent at 37 years old, I’ve also appreciated all the parenting and elderly jokes (hey Elyse). I almost stopped watching the Bachelor, but have jumped back in solely for this podcast.

LOVE Anna and Ryan and their detailed Bachelor franchise recaps and their laugh-out-loud banter and humor. You guys always brighten my day with your witty banter and sarcastic humor. Months ago I was looking for a dynamic pod to enhance my love for trash tv and I found this! This bachelor pod is unlike any other - it’s quipy, hilarious and full of deep cuts. As a fellow professor looking to drink crap wine and watch garbage tv, this is the best bach pod I’ve listened to. For a bonus- I think we might be soulmates. Professors, Hamilton, Tyrone PA (note the one high rise in town) and then a deep cut to Best In Show. Incredible. I love this pod - keep it up! I don’t listen to any other Bachelor podcasts, but I am *literally* positive that Ryan and Anna have the best one out there. I wish there were more episodes per week (but I don’t really want more weekly Bachelor episodes so... we all have our crosses to bear). NEW EDIT: I’m now on I think my 5th or 6th listen of the full podcast (pretty much have kept it playing on a loop for months; Anna and Ryan’s disembodied voices live with me now). NEWER EDIT: on second thought, let’s all take a break before the impending Bachelor onslaught we’re getting with this year’s diabolical season schedule. Also, did y’all hear that the franchise is going to start producing content for Hulu i.e. slowly but mercilessly drag us into a world where bachelor nation is in full force year-round?
