Season 2 Ep 12: Kirsty shares her interesting and rare story all around her experience with Appendix Cancer
Wrapping up season 2 I am joined by the incredible Kirsty. At age 24 she was diagnosed with a rare form of Appendix Cancer, after going through a series of scans and then undergoing surgery, Kirsty's team thought it was best to test for whatever it could have been, which called for a biopsy. Shortly after Kirst was diagnosed with Cancer within the appendix, although at that point her appendix had already ruptured and the contence was spreading. We talk all about having cancer and not having the typical 'treatment' route as well as the mental challenges that came along with it. This is an incredible conversation. Season 2 E9- Avital had just finished high school, had grand plans for a year abroad, yet the universe had other plans in store for her.
