On this episode of HealthyU Chats, Lulu chats with Emily Tam, a registered dietitian that is involved with the National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC). Emily provides us with valuable information on the different types of eating disorders, signs and symptoms of eating disorders, and how to support someone that is living with an eating disorder. Lulu and Emily also chat about diet culture and ways we can fight back at diet culture to cultivate a healthy relationship with food and our body.

NEDIC eating disorder awareness week is happening from February 1st-7th, and this year's theme is "eating disorders can't afford to wait". For more information on events occurring during this week, visit: https://nedic.ca/edaw/
If you or someone you know is experiencing an eating disorder, please remember that recovery IS possible, and support is available.
