This week Chloe Wilde welcomes Ayisha Issa onto the podcast to discuss how discovering Jiu-Jitsu a decade ago completely changed her life. And we mean completely. Before the sport she struggled with an eating disorder, and through sport was able to shift her perspective on the value of food, feeling strong and treating your body with respect so that she could show up to the mat and be the best athlete possible. The sport not only changed her physically, but most importantly mentally. The skills and mental strength she’s gained through Jiu-Jitsu (did we mention she’s a two-time world champ?) she now shares through her own gym 4Points BJJ, where she combines her love of the sport with her affinity for youth development to help foster confidence, perseverance and a plethora of other valuable qualities in kids and young adults. When she’s not teaching the next generation or killing it on the mat, you can catch her on a CTV original drama called “Transplant” Wednesdays at 9pm. Is there anything she can’t do? We think not.
