As we age and depending on a variety of factors, our joints tend to suffer from both use and abuse. Finding the top rated joint supplement is not always easy. Arthritis, a degenerative disorder of joint and connective tissues, can be painful and often debilitating. Finding the best joint supplement for knees is not that hard to do as long as you look for the factors.

Factors such as physical activity and genetics can also determine the time of arthritic onset as well as its severity. There are two factors at work in the process of arthritis and subsequent joint damage. Firstly, cartilage is destroyed, reducing the cushioning of the joint and secondly inflammation, which causes pain and further joint destruction.

Last year, more than $2.5 billion worth of these analgesics and anti-inflammatories were sold in the United States alone! It is estimated that there are at least 100 different NSAIDs available or in development at any given time. Some of the more popular NSAIDs include: Indocin, Advil, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, Nuprin, Excedrin, Midol, and Orudis.

By taking continual high doses of NSAIDs, we interfere with vital bodily functions at a chemical level. The final method of treatment for Arthritis in the ‘physician’s bag’ is, as always, surgery.

Joint replacement has become such big business that many hospitals rely upon this type of surgery to stay in business. The problems with surgery are numerous. The pain, the recovery time, the side effects and the cost must all be considered. Worse yet, just because you have one joint replaced doesn’t mean you are out of the hot water. Arthritis is a systemic disease and will, eventually affect all the joints of your body. How many do you want to have replaced? While the picture we have painted of the treatment and prognosis of Arthritis is not pretty, the good news is that there is an alternative. Through proper nutrition of the body, even more advanced cases of many types of Arthritis may be successfully improved or reversed.

Science has identified several natural anti-inflammatory nutrients, each with virtually no side effects. By keeping the inflammation under better control we can reduce pain and help to slow or prevent further joint damage. These include turmeric, nattokinase, and others. Once this has been accomplished we then need to nourish the joints and connective tissues while helping the body to rebuild cartilage tissues. These natural nutrients include glucosamine sulphate, chondroitin sulphate, Boswellia, MSM, and Quercetin.  Finally, since all nutrients work together in concert, we always recommend a Full Spectrum Multivitamin and Mineral Supplement to ensure that the 100+ nutrients needed on a daily basis are provided.

Our Joint Support Formula is an ideal and convenient way to get the known nutrients to help rebuild cartilage tissue and keep connective tissues flexible. Arthritis is a progressive degenerative disorder and as such it is important to address this issue with supportive nutrients early on. Once the disorder has progressed the damage to both joint and connective tissues can become permanent. We have used our joint support program with even advanced arthritic conditions with significant benefits
