In Part 1 we named the problem β being abducted by distraction, one notification at a time. In Part 2, Dr. Nick turns to the rescue: God has never once abandoned an abductee. This message walks through the honest questions we'd rather skip, why we're so terrified of silence, and the simple daily practice that starts pulling us back to focus. What you bow down to, you'll serve β so let's be sure we're bowing to the right thing. I have a confession: I'm an abductee. I've been taken more times than I can count β not by little green men, but by my phone, my TV, my computer, and a video game called Max Payne that once stole entire days of my life. There's a whole generation of believers being carried off the same way. Not by force. By distraction. And most of them don't even know it's happening. Satan rarely destroys a Christian overnight. He distracts them to death. He doesn't need you to deny Christ β he just needs your attention. Five minutes here, five minutes there, and he's got you. In this message we look at what "abduction" really means, why the head of the home sets the pattern, what Martha got wrong while Jesus sat in her house, and why the enemy traded persecution for the far more effective weapon of a scrolling thumb. None of these things β the phones, the shows, the games, the news β are sins by themselves. But they've become the new idols. The question isn't whether you know this. It's what you're going to do about it. π Scripture: Joshua 24:15 Β· 1 Kings 19:11β12 Β· Luke 10:41β42 Β· 1 Timothy 6:10 β±οΈ CHAPTERS 00:00 "I'm an Abductee" β My Confession 01:43 What "Abduction" Really Means 02:31 The Video Game That Stole My Time 06:15 Where the Head Goes, the Home Follows 06:58 iPads at the Dinner Table 07:59 A Story About My Mom 09:34 Satan Distracts You to Death 09:58 The First Thing You Do Every Morning 14:45 The New Idols 16:39 Martha, Mary & the Real Problem 20:14 When You're With Jesus, Be With Jesus 23:16 The Enemy's New Battlefield 25:50 Four Days That Change Your Life 26:36 Don't Be Lied To 28:35 Prioritize: Jesus First Follow the podcast so you never miss an episode β Ancient Word. I changed three things about my workout routine β stretching, strength training, and walking β and at 64, it finally worked. In this episode, I share the exact routine, what it costs (nothing), and how long it takes (about 50 minutes a day). I'd been working out six days a week and wasn't seeing the gains I wanted. Switching from long, single-focus workouts to a combination of three principles changed everything: I'm losing weight, toning up, sleeping and thinking better, and I'm not fighting the urge to binge eat anymore. You don't need a gym. You don't need to buy anything from me. Every piece of this is something you can start this week. IN THIS EPISODE: Why my old routine stopped working β and what was missing The three-part formula: stretch, strength, cardio The morning stretch that starts everything Why I dropped from 25-minute to 10-minute strength training Walking 12β18 miles a week without leaving the house What actually changed for me β and who this is (and isn't) for THE ROUTINE STRETCH β "Great Stretch" (Tony Horton / Beachbody) A full-body stretch program that's been around since the 90s. Still one of the best overall stretches out there. STRENGTH β 10-Minute Speed Train I dropped from the 25-minute version to the 10-minute. It's intense, it's not for the faint of heart, and paired with the stretch and the walking, it's where I started seeing real change. CARDIO β Walk at Home (Leslie Sansone) Leslie has been making walk-at-home videos since 1980. I do 2β3 miles a day, 12β18 miles a week, indoors. Rain, snow, whatever β no excuses. NOT SPONSORED: I receive nothing from Beachbody or anyone else for mentioning these programs. They're simply what I actually use. Beachbody is a paid program; Leslie has free videos on YouTube to get you started. THE RESEARCH BEHIND THIS APPROACH STRENGTH TRAINING & LONGEVITY β 90 to 119 minutes per week was associated with 13% lower all-cause mortality, 19% lower cardiovascular mortality, and 27% lower neurological disease mortality, across 147,374 adults followed for 30 years. Zhang Y, et al. Iversen VM, et al. Sports Medicine, 2024. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11127831/ STRETCHING & YOUR ARTERIES β Controlled trials found stretching reduced arterial stiffness, lowered resting heart rate and diastolic blood pressure, and improved blood vessel function in middle-aged and older adults. Kato M, et al. Int J Environ Res Public Health, 2020. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7460052/ FLEXIBILITY & SURVIVAL β Over ~13 years, less flexible middle-aged adults had higher mortality risk β nearly 2x in men and nearly 5x in women. AraΓΊjo CGS, et al. Scand J Med Sci Sports, 2024. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/sms.14708 WALKING β About 7,000 steps a day (roughly 3 miles) was associated with 47% lower all-cause mortality and 38% lower dementia risk versus 2,000 steps. 57 studies, 160,000+ adults. Ding D, et al. The Lancet Public Health, 2025. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanpub/article/PIIS2468-2667(25)00164-1/fulltext A NOTE ON THE EVIDENCE: Most of these are observational studies β they show strong associations, not proof of cause and effect. The stretching research is interventional but small (8 trials, 213 people). I'd rather tell you that up front than oversell it. Gideon was hiding. Terrified. Beating wheat in a wine press just to keep it out of enemy hands β and that's exactly where God found him and called him a "mighty warrior." In this message, Dr. Nick unpacks Judges 6 and asks a question every man needs to sit with: are you hiding in your own wine press right now β in your marriage, your finances, something from your past you can't shake? God doesn't wait for you to have it all together before He calls you. He calls you in the middle of the hiding. This one's raw, honest, and built for men who are tired of carrying it alone. What we cover: β Why Gideon's story isn't really about weakness β The difference between God calling you by your past vs. your purpose β Why men struggle to be vulnerable, and what it costs us when we don't β What it means to "build an altar" after God shows up β A challenge to stop arguing with your calling and start walking in it Scripture referenced: Judges 6 If this message hits home, share it with a man in your life who needs to hear it today. Why did God place you here, in this moment, at this point in history? In this message, Dr. Nicholas J. Circolone explores the powerful biblical truth behind Esther 4:14 β "For such a time as this." The story of Queen Esther reminds us that God places people in specific positions, moments, and circumstances for His purposes. Many believers struggle with questions like: β’ What is God calling me to do? β’ How do I know when God is speaking? β’ Why does obedience sometimes feel uncomfortable? β’ What happens if we ignore God's calling? Just as Esther had a choice to remain silent or step forward in faith, we face the same decision today. In this message you'll learn: β How God positions people for His purposes β Why obedience matters more than comfort β How small acts of faith can change generations β How to recognize your moment to act Esther's story reminds us that God's plan often unfolds through ordinary people willing to trust Him. In this video: β’ Why we fast β’ Obedience vs. comfort β’ When breakthrough doesn't look like you expected β’ The battle that often follows blessing β’ How God changes hearts over time Sometimes fasting isn't about getting something from God.
