I love these ladies. They feel like friends I’ve always known. In addition to their hot takes on music, culture, and deep dives on politics… they are just funny. Maybe best of all, they support one another and explore each others’ opinions in a way that is really helpful and informative. I love the humor, I always learn something while I cackle listening to them crack up. Thanks for sharing your light, it really matters right now.

I looooove this show. Sierra and Sharelle’s chemistry is insane (in the best way). Plus, they are so knowledgeable. Like, they come with credible sources and data when discussing current events, which is extremely refreshing (especially in today’s day and age). Highly recommend for anyone who not only wants to stay aware of the world around them but also wants to maintain their joy and hope while doing so.

Ladies, forgive me because I know I’ve been listening too long to just do a review now. I love this show not only to stay informed about what’s happening in other states (im currently in TX and the mental plate is already full politically) This podcast is also full of information that I’ve been forwarding episodes to people rather than try to talk sense to them. So thank you for helping me protect my sanity and peace (especially at work) because I am not saved enough to keep from cussing folks out.

Sierra and Sharelle are the perfect blend. They play off of each other perfectly. I absolutely love how they touch on so many topics that hit home on so many levels. They effortlessly cross demographics and generations with their ability to reach everyone. They are extremely well versed on all things news, pop culture, politics, and entertainment. I can’t get enough of these two. I would say they turned me into a fan of podcast. But since I only listen to theirs, I am really just a fan of Headwraps and Lipsticks.

I love this podcast! I’ve been a loyal listener of this show after discovering them via a retweet on Twitter in 2017. I love the chemistry that Sierra and Sharelle have on the mic. They are hilarious and make me feel like I’m one of their homegirls just listening to their convos. Also, I love the balance and how they can give me a good laugh or something to think about. “Lipservice” was one of my favorite segments but now it’s “Bussin’ Ballots” and I love Sharelle’s corny jokes. lol All around this is a very solid show. I’ve been listening to this podcast since it went viral on Tiktok for their comments about the JD Vance commercial and have been TUNED IN since. During my morning commute, I look forward to listening and laughing along with the hosts about Sharelle’s joke of the day, Sierra continuously mentioning capitalism is the problem, the occasional palm colored people slander, and hearing their opinions on politics. This podcast presents politics for folks not wanting to listen to the depressing sound of television news, but as if you’re talking about politics with your friends around the kitchen table. The only thing we’re beefing on (unbeknownst to the hosts) is that I wish they would be open to the abolitionist side of topics. But maybe that’s just the Californian in me! As an Afro-Latina, I appreciate the hosts every week for these episodes and for creating a space that makes me feel seen. Keep up the amazing work, ladies, and remember to check that cash app! Lol.

Let me begin my review with the fact that before I discovered this podcast a few years ago, I didn’t think I’d be their target demographic based on the name of the podcast. I can’t stress enough how wrong I was! Sharelle and Sierra are separating themselves from the pretenders of this industry by consistently supplying us with QUALITY over quantity. Their format, subject matter, and authenticity bring out engaging topics that make you feel like you’re in the room discussing things right along with them. I LOVE this show and could certainly see it being picked up on a network or streaming service as a staple commentary program. Their efforts to enlighten people like me who are out of the loop with current events, political updates, and black culture moments are appreciated and received! I love the show but sometimes the views on women and men are SO problematic. Chris Brown has consistently been trash over the years, and he’s objectively not a good person. I also think it’s reductive to have every conversation on the basis that women’s and men’s actions are equal with no regard to the patriarchy.

I love this podcast! It makes long days in my home office seem a lot shorter. I oftentimes feel like I’m listening to my girls discuss different topics when listening to this show.
