Ages well
It’s been eight years since this came out. It remains as a parable about WTSHTF and what we will do about it and what it will feel like afterwards. I found myself thinking about that first year of COVID. And what I haven’t even thought of that will happen next.

Where has this been?
Can’t recommend this enough. Beautifully produced. Start now, blink and it’s over.

Dan is one of my favorite hosts
I’ve listened to everything he’s released. He and Jonathan Goldstein have similar styles of storytelling and I’m here for it. Dan - if you see this - you’re amazing man. Thanks for all the great shows!!

This show is podcast crack!
I can’t stop listening because: 1) I can’t get enough of Dan’s sardonic and witty narration. 2) The topics are super interesting 3) and are presented in a fair and balanced way 4) using the fascinating stories, accounts, and viewpoints of real people. But, honestly, it’s Dan. I’d listen to him read a repair manual….

Amazing find!
In the sea of podcasts, this is one of the jewels (should that metaphor be pearl?). In any case, this former Daily Show writer entertains us with perspectives sometimes too close to home, and other times stranger than fiction. I lived through Y2K and had no idea all of all the intrigue and odd things people were doing. Great entertainment, we listened on a road trip and the drive just flew by.

Freaking Incredible
this, like all Dan Taberski podcasts, is a 1000/10. Very well done, easy to listen to and super interesting!!

Great
I remember being a kid huddled around the TV and looking outside like I’m expecting a big boom. But my parents thankfully knew nothing was going to happen…. I’m not sure if I was faced with a similar situation I’d acted as calm. But 2012 didn’t amount to much… thanks for the pod!

Good podcast, great content
My family prepped for Y2K when I was 13. This was exciting, scary, life-changing (we moved to an new area so we could live off the land, my dad tried to start a new business, failed, our family ended up in debt, living less than paycheck to paycheck, and more). Listening to this podcast has been validating, therapeutic, informative. It has given a history and explanation to something that to me was embarrassing and more recently, humorous. The structure of the podcast is great, weaving stories throughout different episodes, holding my interest well.

The Best
I started my podcast adventure listening to true crime. However, I took a detour to listen to the Richard Simmons podcast. I am glad I did. I moved to the next series with Y2K. It is almost perfection. A time period we all have different memories and life experiences. This podcast tells us different experiences that come together to tell a wonderful glimpse of an interesting time in history.

Loved it!
This was absolutely fascinating to me. I was in my late 20’s and expecting my second child when Y2K hit. Some of this was a flashback to me but most was new information. I absolutely love the sound of Dan’s voice. Most podcasts I have to rewind to get information I missed when I zoned out - not with Dan. I’ve binged every series of his and will be sad when I finish the current one and have nothing left to listen to. More, please!

Excellent storytelling but...
Really great series: storytelling at its best. However it was a difficult listen due to a silly pet peeve of mine: the millennium changed over at end of 2000, so it was not contemporaneous with Y2K. While unimportant, this conflation grated every time. Even a wink at the beginning would have smoothed this for me.

Fascinating!
Thank you for this series! Really enjoyed it. I was 25 when 2000 rolled in, and my husband worked in IT for the US government. We were acutely aware of all the Y2K issues at the time. It’s so cool to hear all the different perspectives and experiences. Great work.

Great stories
Nothing happened on Y2K...right? Wrong. Your stories were fascinating. I binged the series. 5 stars!

Excellent!
Fascinating interviews with people looking at the millennium from different perspectives. Highly recommend.

Nothing not to love!
Great reporting, editing and vulnerable storytelling you can’t fake. Perfection wall to wall.

Top notch
Such fantastic writing. Emotional, riveting, hysterically funny and also surprisingly moving. This is seriously one of the best I have ever listened to. I screamed my voice to the point of laryngitis at a drag show to ring in Y2K then joked about how my voice wasn’t Y2K compliant. This brought me back. This jumped to the top of my recommended podcasts.

Fantastic
Just binged (thanks to article from WSJ). Just riveting! Thank you, Dan. Thank you for reminding us of the craziness, as well as the those who kept it together. My now husband & I went skiing December 29, 1999. On the lift ticket (a relic), it was printed “Goodbye 19th Century!” 😂😂😂

Dope!
Just binged Y2K and Running from Cops. Amazing tone and pacing. Headlong is in a league of its own when it comes to reporting and story weaving. Much respect to Mr. Taberski. Keep up the good work!

Very Good But.....
Episodes 1-6 were great, but the bonus episode was so tedious to listen to that I stopped with 5 minutes left. It was like eating a terrific meal with one delicious course after the next followed by a terrible dessert.

Wow!
Absolutely amazing work! Definitely one of THE best podcasts I’ve ever listened to. It’s sad, it’s funny and everything in between.

Amazing work!
This podcast is possibly the best I’ve ever listened to. It’s sad, hopeful, optimistic and tells incredibly intimate stories. It’s about Y2K but is tells a stories of how our decisions shape our lives.

Whether you lived the Y2K insanity or were born after and have no idea what it is- you should listen to this. 💯

Great listen
Another fabulous podcast from Dan, who’s not only a great podcaster, but also a very talented writer. I had to pause the show several times just to absorb the writing. Nice job.

So well produced
I devoured this podcast and felt like I really “knew” the folks featured in this story. My mom worked as part of a team called Y2K Project for a large power company in my state in the years preceding 2000, so I was familiar with what I THOUGHT the subject matter would be. Boy, was I wrong. So touching, and really endearing stories. Great production value, and the host is someone who is so easy to listen to and has such a good rapport with everyone he interviews. Bravo on a job well done. I also binged Running from Cops the same day and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for the host and the Headlong brand.

So fascinating and well done.

Fantastic show
I was introduced to Headlong through an ad for Season 3, Running From COPS, on another podcast. After binging that in two days I started this season. By the time the first episode reached its midpoint break I was hooked. Dan and the team make a podcast like no other. Can’t wait for Season 4
