Although your ego likes to think so, nothing in your life is permanent. Loved ones, materials, and even you will someday leave this Earth. The freedom is understanding that you don't know when. It could be tomorrow, a week, a month, or years away. Suffering occurs when you lose something you thought you would have one day longer. Live every day like its your last day on Earth because you, just like me, are only a guests on this planet.

KEY POINTS:

  • Grab life by the balls
  • Nothing is permanent. NOTHING
  • A loss in not just what was lost but the future you have created with these objects or people in your mind
  • Take action now. Tomorrow in not garenteed
  • Suffering arises when you lose something you believed you would have one day longer
  • Life is an amusement park. You get on the ride knowing the ride will come to an end but this does not make you unable to enjoy the experience
  • You are a guest on Earth
  • Ego attaches to form identity
  • The "good old days" will always be today and never yesterday
  • Even emotions are impermanent, allowing you to change.
