Not to my taste
Rambling, misinformation, repeating ad nauseam, irritating pacing. Nope.
Frayed knot now
Good show about eggs.
Interesting story collection about cooking with eggs. But hey, don’t blame the kids for confusion at the end. It was a pretty disorganized mess before Garret showed up.

Practical and Great Content
Really enjoys Chef Snow’s tangents and expertise on cooking, ingredients, resourcefulness. Also enjoy updates and tidbits on family and life. Always enjoyable and one of my favorite podcasts.

All over the place
Most of the show is the host getting distracted and talking about unrelated things

Racist, Homophobic
Liked some of the recipes and info until he suddenly revealed that he dislikes Mexico because it's dirty and doesn't like going to Providence anymore because of the gay people.

Lost interest
I learned about Keith Snow through TSP. I purchased his cookbook and believe he knows his stuff. Great recipes! Seems like a great person. My complaint about the podcast: so much rambling, too much personal info, eating and drinking while recording, even included bathroom breaks, and now to get the one recipe he occasionally shares I need to become a member for $5 per month. Too much self-promotion. Minimal practical information is shared. :( plus he's constantly changing what he's eating. OMGoodness! The podcast name and what the podcast is about do not gel together well. Unsubbing. Sorry. Just can't waste time here anymore.

Very informative show..
Very informative show...Great information espeicially food survival techniques....but please chef enough drinking and slurping on the podcast

5-10 mins of real content per show
Great show when he's actually talking about cooking. Sorry learn to edit. Don't need to hear you slurping on drinks, your kids interrupting, the weather today, or some pretty animal outside your window.

not my thing
I listened to a couple of episodes. It didn't sound professionally done. Too rambling. Could use some editing or maybe follow a script. I love listening to podcasts while I do work around the house, but this one isn't my thing.

Great show!!
Chef Keith is da bomb! His podcast is flavorful and fun. Don’t let this tough guy from Jersey fool you! While he enjoys the heat down south nowadays, i think he would be just as happy in Montana cooking up so seasonal food in the mountains. All kidding aside, i love the show. Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime. But if is a good cook, you better marry him!

yummy
A great podcast to listen to. You might want to eat something prior to listening if you don’t you will be hungry while listening. He teaches you to cook and bake with fresh or unprocessed food.

Learn something new every day
If your not then you aren't living. As Jack Spirko often say when listening to Chef Keith Snow, get ready to be hungry. So true, not only will you become hungry, you will also learn how to focus on technique, not following a recipe. From a United States Navy Senior Chief, thank you Keith for this show.

Great podcast with great recipes
I recently found this podcast and I have thoroughly enjoyed it! I have tried some of the recipes that have been given on the podcast and they are great! I highly recommend this podcast!

What a fantastic show!
I absolutely love Chef Keith Snow's podcasts. I feel like I need to sit down with a cup of coffee, put my feet up and stop doing everything when I listen to him. He is such a great storyteller! His insights on the way to make selecting food, growing it, harvesting the bounty and finally cooking it for your family are outstanding. I really think much differently about the food our family eats now that I have begun listening to his episodes. I can't wait for them to come each week! Well done, Chef Keith, well done.

More Than Just Cooking!
I've been a listener to Chef Keith for many years and have always enjoyed his podcast. Interestingly, given some of the recent comments about "too much personal stuff", I have to say that #273 "On a Personal Note" was one of the shows I've enjoyed the most in recent times. The show isn't JUST about cooking - as the title and intro state - that's just the primary focus. I really enjoy hearing about the business and the family because I have similar interests and concerns. There are a ton of cooking shows out there that are polished, professional, and impersonal for the people who are looking for that type of info show. This podcast is about a man, his business, his family, and a lifestyle. You have to keep that in mind when you listen and when you're encouraged to purchase companion products.

Too much negativity
I am going to unsubscribe to this podcast after listening to the growing lettuce show. I do not mind when a podcaster goes on a tangent, but I do mind when it become uncomfortably negative against an entire ethnicity- for several minutes. The rant against the Chinese was offensive - not because I disagree with buying US products over Chinese, but because he suggested burning their flag. This politically negative (and just rude and tasteless) rant doesn't below in a show on growing lettice. That's not why I'm listening. Goodbye.

Chef Snow
Great show, I first heard him on the Survival Podcast. I like the fact that he not only gives recipes but all sorts of cooking tips. He kinda instucts you like you are going through cooking school, very helpful.

Great podcast
This podcast is just what I've been looking for--I always thought why don't more people cook what's in season? Your recipes are awesome and so simple to understand. I can't wait to try making tomato pie when mine ripen!

Too much self-promotion, too little useful info
I love the concept of this podcast series and the topic titles look great but was sorely disappointed with the the two I tried out. The vinaigrettes podcast starts with 8 minutes and 44 seconds of self-promotion/buy my book/subscribe pls and then the podcast finally starts which is soon interrupted with more self-promotion. Not one single recipe for a vinaigrette in the entire podcast.

This guy give seasonal food a bad name
The first show I listened to had a segment about sprouts. I'm all for sprouts, but then he goes on to say how sprouts are proof that evolution isn't real. Next thing you know he'll start saying the world is flat. 1/4 of a show is all I could stomach of this guy.

Entertaining and Educational
I love hearing about the Snow family, Keith's latest activities, as well as cooking and food tips. I listen to podcasts for their entertainment value as well as education and this is a great dose of both!
Quiltnteacher
Rambling
He rambles on about stuff that doesn't pertain to the subject. The last episode I listened to was about BBQ sauce. Out of the 1/2 hour show there was only about 5 mins of actual content on how to make a good sauce.

Down earth cooking advice
Great guy! Great work he's doing for us common folk to get our harvest eating more refined! ...I agree and disagree with the 'meanderings' feedbacks. I like that he has an open window and notices the birds outside. But keep those delightful interruptions short. And yes, the pause button or editing would be helpful to keep the Podcast on track. I hope Chef Snow won't be hurt by the feedback, but hear it and make an even better podcast product. Thanks chef!!

All over the place
Referred by TSP. This podcast started as a 2, but after a few podcasts it turned into a 4 ½. At first I wasn’t a big fan, but grew into a follower. It’s almost like hanging out with a friend. Thanks for the podcast.

Folksy food wisdom
I love Keith's bunny trails--I find them incredibly charming... Love his food politics too!

Not about cooking anymore
I stopped listening. Making your podcast personal is one thing, talking about the birds you see from your windows, telling me you're going to take a leak, being interrupted by your kids etc is another. Too bad because the cooking parts were very good but they make up maybe 10% of the episodes now.
ScreaminJ
Often low signal-to-noise ratio
When Chef Kieth is on topic, he knows what he's talking about and provides lots of good tips, insights, and resources. Unfortunately, we have to listen to lots of interruptions and off-topic wanderings. Please, Chef, use the pause button on your recorder! We don't need to know you had a phone call or that your wife needed to ask you something. Properly edited, we won't even know she came in so there's no need to waste our listening-time apologizing. <sigh> Have/had such high hopes ...

Awesome food podcast
Has really changed the way I think about cooking and eating in everyday life..

Informative & entertaining
This podcast is great for experienced chefs and beginners like myself. Chef Keith teaches you how to make the simple things you would normally buy at the grocery store: pancake mix, bread, yogurt, salad dressings, ect. This can be quite a budget saver! He also gives great general food knowledge. Such as, how a ton of our food is overly packed with antibiotics, pesticides, sugar, and steroids. Chef Keith and his family seem to be a great role model for all of us Americans who are trying to have a "un- American" actual healthy life style. If you don't know what " the local food movement" is, you definitely need to listen to this podcast! Also, Mr. snow doesn't just teach you simple recipes. He is all about seasonal cooking and has a wide variety of recipes in his cookbook.

One of my favorite podcasts.
This is a great podcast. In my efforts to become more self reliant, I also listen to The Survival Podcast and The Self-Sufficient Gardener Podcast. I've been growing and raising much of my own food for several years now, and the Harvest Eating Podcast has been an amazing teaching tool helping me learn how to cook/prepare the food I raise. Also, I live in the northwest, so the things he has been discussing since his move to Montana is even more applicable to me. Thanks Chef Keith.

Thank you Chef Snow!
Great podcast!! I never thought I would like a cooking podcast, but this is so much more than just a cooking podcast. Full of information that is helpful to the average person. Explains things very well and I love it when his kids and dog help him with his show. I also heard him originally on The Survival Podcast. Thank you Chef Snow and keep them coming.

A must for all who love food!
I love Keith's practical approach to cooking and that he's a prepper as well. I first heard of him on Jack Spirko's the survival podcast. It's really neat how he allows his family to come on as well once in a while. That he asks for prayers is the coolest! His podcasts make me want to just hang out with him. His early episodes where he's out in the porch listening to the birds singing is very fun. Keep up the good work Chef Keith Snow!

Down to earth, great ideas, awesome host, like talking cooking with a friend!!
Chef Keith Snow packs each show with great practical cooking advice, homestead updates and just plain old common sense! More than just a cooking show he includes gardening, livestock, prepping and lumps in his family and day to day life making this a pleasant and broad listening experience. Give him a listen… I’m glad I did! -Zack

Great show
Love the show. Heard about it on TSP w/ Jack Spirko. Started listening yesterday. I'm on #20, I think. Like that he keeps the episodes short. Easier to catch up on.
KSchaver
Not always a cooking show
The opening of Ratatoulle is talking about toilet trianing and diapers. Then you are treated to his son and talking about pee pee. So you have to wait for alot of rabbit trials to boil out cooking techniquesn and a recipe. This is advertised as cooking not Snow family update. Chef stay to cooking and gardening.

A pleasure to listen to
Great podcast! Keeps me informed, entertained, and eager to try something new in the kitchen. Enjoyed the latest on Condiments, but come on Keith, Miracle Whip has much more flavor than mayonaise and comparing the nutrition labels is healthier for you than regular mayonaise. Love the cookbook, it's getting lots of use.

More than just cooking!
The Harvest Eating Podcast is about more than just cooking. Chef Snow helps the listener integrate good food into everyday life through information, recipies, and family stories. His enthusiasm is contagious and inspires the listener to try new ideas in the garden and in the kitchen. Keith's cooking tips remove the itimidation factor from cooking, making it easy to create healthy and tasty food for your family. The stories about life around his farm and the little familiy interruptions bring light and touching aspect to the podcast. I encourage everyone to listen to the podcasts for both learning and entertainment. Chef Snow's website has great (free) recipes and information. We use his seasonings, olive oil, and pasta sauces to compliment the produce from our own garden. Our favorites are the Montreal Steak Spice and Grilled Chicken Spice. In 2012, RFD TV began showing the Harvest Eating TV show where you can learn more about local food sources and cooking.

Harvest Eating
Keith Snow is the man to listen to if you are interested in healthy cooking. I was happily surprised to hear that he is a manly man as well as a chef. His podcasts include great cooking tips AND updates on work he is doing on his homestead. How great to hear that he likes to build things and teach us about cooking great food. He doesn't exclude regular grocery store items from his cooking. You will hear about organic and farm grown, grass fed, but you will also hear about everyday grocery store items that he uses and thinks are acceptable. That is valuable information for the people who can't afford strictly grassfed and whom have not yet achieved complete self sufficiency! I love the podcasts. Our new favorite! Thanks Chef Snow!!!!

Very educational and interesting!
I have been listening to this podcast for a couple months now, and gone back to his shows from last summer. I am a total city-slicker trying to change my families eating to fresh and health. Keith Snow has taught me so much about cooking and eating that I feel like I have taken weeks of cooking lessons from him. Every podcast is educational and I enjoy the stories of his travels to France, and his family life on the farm. When my financial situation gives me more fun money, I can't wait to become a member of his city to access all the recipes he has. Until then, I will absorb all of his content I can. If you enjoy the podcast, and can afford it, PLEASE buy his cookbook, join his site as a member and even support his sponsors. It will keep this podcast going for all of us, and those videos he has created are also an incredible tool!

I LOVE Harvest Eating Podcasts.
Love these podcasts. Down to earth, easy to follow. Great information and wonderful tips. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Awesome!!!
I really enjoy this podcast! I also love his blunt "tell it the way it is" mentality. It's very informative he exposes all the trash that in placed into some foods. It inspires me to cook and eat in a more healthy manner as well and get some great ideas on really tasty recipes! Loved his podcasts on canning, gardening, and the perfect steak.
God's WarHorse
I enjoy every pretentious episode....
Like the show , but I find the Keith's increasingly condescending attitude bordering on obnoxious.....passion and respect for quality and healthful food is one thing but bashing the catered food at a holiday party was over the top and disrespectful of that event's host. I enjoy the candid interactions with the kids and dog and hearing about the old farmhouse. I'll never afford a $9000.00 French Range or a $300.00 camping cooler but I will use the Chef's tips to crank out meals from my shabby Kitchenaid electric stove for my hopefully appreciative family......

Amazing
Great podcast with some ver top quality information. And unlike a lot of podcasts, I don't get bored listening to one person talk and talk. I also heavily recommend going to Chef Snow's website. The free videos really help in grasping concepts and the recipes and the small membership fee required to see the recipes is, if anything, too cheap for the amazing quality of the meals you'll be making.
