Found this by chance, and I want more. Great historical subject, entertaining and educational. Hope they expand this world!

This was a surprise find since everything in my feed is sci-fi / horror. But so glad it popped up. The season’s go by quickly so it’s not a huge time commitment if you want to binge.

Ever since I first saw Cicely Tyson birth Madame St Claire in "Hoodlum," I knew she belonged in the same conversations with Madame CJ Walker, Zora Neale Hurstons and other kick-ass Black women of that time. The strong writing, the immersive acting, THIS is the story I've been waiting for!

This story grabbed me from episode one and hasn’t let go. The mix of history and drama and action is perfect.

This is a fun and fascinating tour of a too-little explored era of American history. Madame Stephanie St. Clair was a real person and a true character, and it's a pleasure to follow her rise and exploits in this well-produced show!

I adored Harlem Queen! The production was fantastic as well as the acting. Such an incredible story, I felt transported instantly. Such an underrated AD...deserves more hype!

This is a great listen, immersive storytelling and subtle ways of giving the listener ways of “seeing” the scene, I felt thoroughly transported the way a good book can make you feel like you’re there. Great dialogue and characterizations. I was also surprised that I never had heard of Stéphanie Saint-Clair, though I suppose it shouldn’t surprise me that a woman wouldn’t get any recognition for accomplishments and innovation, even in the crime world! 🙄

First of all, I’m so shocked that I am just learning of Madame Stephanie St. Clair. I can not wait for the next season, hopefully it’s soon. It’s like listening to history unfold; so excited and thankful that this is available. I did further research on her and am intrigued! I’ve already shared this with family. Please start Season 2 soon!

How was this not on my radar sooner??? Harlem Queen is fantastic! If you a fan of Bronzeville or the show Boardwalk Empire, then Harlem Queen is right up your alley. Really good sound design and some of the best voice acting in audio drama. Highly recommended!

Only two episodes in and I’m hooked! Haven’t heard anything like this, and such a fascinating and tragically uncovered subject. Looking forward to the rest!

This is a beautifully crafted podcast, with a lot of great Harlem history layered in. I’m excited to listen through again because I know there were tidbits I missed and will want to dig deeper into, but the story also stands on its own. I want to know more about the characters too!
