Have you ever wondered why Christ cursed the fig tree.  It had fruit according to the Joseph Smith Translation but it was all green.  There was no mature fruit. In his allegory of the vineyard, Isaiah calls the wild fruit that results be’ushim—fruit that decays before it comes to maturation (Isaiah 5:2, 4). He also tells the current wife of Christ to shout for joy.  Why because she is ruined with only a small remnant left (Isa 1:9) but the desolate wife is returning and she will be a great nation. (Isa 54) 1“Shout for joy, O barren woman, who bears no children; break forth in song and cry aloud, you who have never travailed; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,”a says the LORD. 2“Enlarge the site of your tent, stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not hold back. Lengthen your ropes and drive your stakes in deep.b 3For you will spread out to the right and left; your descendants will dispossess the nations and inhabit the desolate cities. We are warned to return to Christ, forsake our false traditions before it is too late.  We have a work to do as Ephraim.  In Egypt a place of gathering must be prepared for our brethren the lost 10 tribes who are returning.

Just as Jesus declares in 3 Nephi 23 'Isaiah must . . . speak to the Gentiles". Here in chapter 1 -- in the preface of Isaiah we see him speaking to a group called the Daughter of Zion. In the video I tell you who I think The Daughter of Zion is and what the message means to us today.   As always, I am sharing what I think as a spring board for you to ask your own question and do your own searching.  NEVER be satisfied to believe something because someone said so.  Search the scriptures and allow the Holy Ghost to lead you into all truth!

Isaiah 28 According to Isaiah Ephraim's religious leaders have erred in judgement and have made a pact with the devil expecting that will save them from a desolating scourge that will cover the whole earth. Spoiler alert! It doesn't save them and only those who put their trust in the precious cornerstone of Zion will walk away from this one.

Isaiah chapter 4 vs 1 talks about 7 women that take hold of one man.  This verse is often quoted to show that polygamy will be practiced in the millennium.  I take you through the scriptures to my understanding that these 7 women are the corrupt churches and the man they try to take hold of is Jesus Christ but only those who have come out of the corrupt churches and are the pure in heart designated in the Book of Revelation in chapter 3 as the Church of Philadelphia are acceptable before the Lord.  All of the other churches must repent or fall.  Revelation 18:4 4  Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues.

In the 28th chapter in the Book of Isaiah there is a group in Egypt (aka Amercia) called the Drunkards of Ephraim .  They and their leaders are full of pride and drunk with wine (doctrine).   This chapter contains: 1.  The current condition of the Ephraimites and their leaders 2.  A bit of history about God's dealings with Ephraim in America 3.  A warning to repent and trust in the precious Corner Stone 4. A prophecy of what will befall the unrepentant. There is too much to cover in one video.  I don't yet know how many studies this chapter will take.  We are currently on vs 6 of 29 at the close of this video.

The 'Covenant Path' is a popular phrase used by President Nelson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to describe the way to be exalted in the highest kingdom in the next life.  The path will lead the member of the church through the basic ordinances of baptism and gift of Holy Ghost to the higher ordinances performed in the temples that are located now all over the world.  As always my question is, 'what do the scriptures say about the covenant path'? Since this is the path to salvation in the kingdom of God I want to be sure I get this right.  Here is what I found as I studied this question.

Currently The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches "After receiving a revelation commanding him to practice plural marriage, Joseph Smith married multiple wives and introduced the practice to close associates." The book of Isaiah is in its totality a book of prophecy for the little span of time called the end days or covered in the catch phrases 'In those days' or 'In the latter days' etc.   Yes, many of the events are historical but they serve as a type of shadow of what is to be.  There is nothing new under the sun.   Isaiah used history to inform his latter-day audience of what it coming.   In the days of Isaiah Egypt was a super power with political and religious leaders who were both failing and bumbling and the people had become wretched and full of mischief.  This is the setting for todays superpower - The United States of America.   I use the book of 2 Esdras from the Apocrypha and the book  of Isaiah to paint a picture of what ill be in America's future.

In the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS (the Mormons) the New and Everlasting Covenant is a marriage covenant that opens up the highest glory in the Celestial kingdom.   While reading the JST book of Genesis I found there is a different New and Everlasting Covenant that was from the beginning of the restoration of the church.  Here I share the scriptures that I found about the subject so that you can ponder it for yourselves.

Zion is the pure in heart.  Those who love God's law and are willing to forsake the riches and pleasures of this world to attain something beautiful, loving, holy.  A life where there are no poor and no sick.  A society that is based on love.  Not communism that is authoritarian and forced.  No, a society that consists of only the pure in heart.  Joseph Smith was called by God to receive the laws and keys for the establishment of this order so that his Everlasting Covenant that he made with Enoch could be fulfilled.    According to the Doctrine and Covenants Zion was destroyed and taken over by the enemy (D&C 101), but God told us that the story doesn't end there he has a plan for redeeming Zion and it will not fail!  Zion will be established (D&C 1,103,105 - Isaiah 10:24-27, 33:5-6,20,24,21;35:1-10,37:31-35, 52:7-12, 55:1-5,57:1-2, etc.)  and the City of Enoch where God's throne is will return to the earth (JST Gen 9:21-25, D&C 88:99-102, 77:11, 107:19,78:21, 88:5).    Is the Mormon church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the enemy occupied ruined vineyard?  What works were destroyed by the enemy?  D&C 1:15, Isaiah 24:5, Isaiah 55:3 15 For they have strayed from mine ordinances, and have broken mine everlasting covenant;  What are God's ordinances that we have strayed from and what is the everlasting covenant that we broke?
