Sammy and Julia chat with Pam Malter, director of Camp Canadensis, and her husband Dave Malter, who also works at camp, about what it's like to work with your spouse at camp, and also about the wonderful program at Camp Canadensis!

Sammy and Julia chat with Yam and Pie, creators of Camp Yampire, a weekend-long zoom camp for adults that occurs once a month! Because of Covid-19 and the resulting social distancing measures now in place, Yam and Pie saw an opportunity to help, and started an online summer camp for adults to attend through Zoom - every camp session is packed full of fun activities and games and lead by guest camp counselors - from dance parties to a live game of Clue, Camp Yampire is a great virtual space for people to connect and have some fun!

Julia and Sammy chatted with Naomi Greenfield, who created a Zoom camp that teaches kids about voting and civic engagement, and then sets them up to write campaign postcards to voters in swing states to encourage them to register to vote and/or request a mail-in ballot!

Scott Newman stuck around to talk to Sammy and Julia about some of his favorite traditions from Camp de los Ninos, and about some of the ways the camp has started to change the language around talking about diabetes.

Sammy and Julia chat with Scott Newman about his many summers at various diabetes camps, including Camp de los Ninos! We learned a lot about Type 1 diabetes and all the physical and emotional strength it takes to manage on a day to day basis, and why camp is a wonderful community for kids who are growing up and learning to manage their diabetes.
