Do you have no idea how to look for a comfortable, yet supportive walking/running shoe for any situation? As someone who knows his shoes and feet (not in a kinky way), as well as working with a plethora of individuals looking for the right shoe, it dawned on me that people don't know shoes even though it's something we wear virtually every day. Yeah we'll pick a shoe based off aesthetics and a shoe size that doesn't feel extremely tight, but there are other crucial factors to consider if you want to improve your feet health and feel super comfy.
In today's episode I cover the very basics in finding the right shoe no matter the intended purpose, but it'll mainly be geared towards shoes for walking and running. On a separate note, I also felt compelled to explore one of many practices that I do myself which helps not only in better understanding others regardless who they are, but also become more compassionate.
Enjoy~

Let's keep things short and juicy. In this episode, Joey is spilling tea on his experiences on working at a specialty running shop as a retail associate/outfitter, how that changed his outlook on potential careers, and customer interaction stories. Let's be honest, it's mostly venting and sharing juicy stories on working with a variety of customers.

Are you still feeling the feels from those Kdra... I mean from the love lingering since Valentines Day? I'll admit it, I've been feeling things because of KDramas these days, which made me recall my "first" romantic experience ever. However, this "first" is technically not true because although someone else liked me and I went what may seemed like dates, my stupendous oblivious butt was not aware of it whatsoever. This "first" experience was filled with misunderstandings from so many angles and I'm hear to tell it without throwing anyone under the bus and spilling scalding hot tea that'll hurt anyone.
In this episode, I share my "first" romantic experience that involved a gay man and talk about my oblivious outlook on this situation at the time, as well as the misunderstandings that took place. Please understand that in no shape or form am I making fun of anyone or dissing anyone's feelings. This story is one where I laugh at myself regarding how my oblivious nature towards romance and dating resulted in a few predicaments.
Enjoy~

Although Valentines Day is already over, I'm still feeling quite a bit of love in the air, or is it because I've been binging Kdramas lately? Whatever the case may be (it's definitely those Kdramas), I spent my Valentines Day alone and that has been a normal trend throughout my entire life. No one to give those elementary candy grams to, ask to be my Valentine in high school, or even someone to take out for dinner with a bundle of roses to give in college. Other than a few fruitless dating experiences, my life is devoid of romance and I think I know why.
In this episode, I analyze and discuss my thoughts on why I struggle in dating and love as well as spilling tea on some stories. I hope my experiences are able to help you in your love life because I wouldn't ant you to struggle like I still do to this day! Enjoyyy <33333

Did you know that men also have eating disorders? Though the answer may be obvious (btw it's yes), why don't we hear about it like we do with eating disorders among women? Although both genders experience similar situations with eating disorders, the factors and mindsets that play into this could be vastly different. Relative to women, there are many body types that have been normalized among men from being skinny to obese. What supports this notion are male influencers out in the world who lead lifestyles or attain successes that men strive for from being big n' boss to those sexy actors. What doesn't help is the typical male mindset of "being a man", which usually entails not being vulnerable and open with others and themselves about their struggles. While quietly struggling with the perfect male image that we wish to attain, eating disorders are likely to develop.
In this episode, we're continuing off of last week's episode regarding our relationship with food where we're taking a deep dive into male eating disorders and my personal experiences struggling with anorexia and bulimia.

Since the pandemic began, hate crime against Asian Americans have become more prevalent and on the rise. We see this in many forms from racist insults to senseless acts of violence that are based on ignorance and irrational lines of thinking. What's even more tragic is that the rise in high-profile attacks against Asian Americans is occurring among the elderly. Unfortunately, these cases goes unheard of for the most part which prompted me to talk about a tragic event that occurred on January 28, 2021 in the Anza Vista neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. During that Thursday morning, 84 y/o Vicha Ratanapakdee was brutally tackled by 19 y/o Antoine Watson and 20 y/o accomplice Malaysia Goo (who is deemed as an accessory in this case), while going on his routinely morning walk. Ratanapakdee later died due to sustained injuries on January 30, 2021 in the S.F. General Hospital. He was a gentle and beloved grandfather who emigrated from his home country Thailand to live with his family and take care of his grandchildren.
After learning about Ratanapakdee's background, I personally said "Why hate?". Why hate indeed? Hearing and seeing on the news about hate crimes that are harming POC is a huge issue, however, we can't just continue vocalizing our personal thoughts on this matter and screaming at the top of our lungs without plans of action. In today's episode, I provide background information on this case from an objective stance, talk about how I feel about this case & hate crime in general, and offer what I believe is a progressive approach towards discussing, developing, and taking affirmative action on solutions to eliminate hate crime and those of similar nature that a handful of SJWs (social justice warriors) are not doing.
If you'd like to support the family of Vicha Ratanapakdee, his son-in-law Eric Lawson created a gofundme page to raise money for his funeral and memorial legacy fund. I've provided a link to this below.
In honor and memory of those who have fallen to hate, ignorance and prejudice, let us all protect our family, friends, and communities, as well as bringing awareness & peaceful solutions to these tragedies.

Whenever we see our favorite athlete on the court, track, gym, or field, we aspire to become like them in their tenacity, success, mental fortitude, and positive outlook on life. However, that's not always the case for what the athlete is truly experiencing. Whether you're a professional athlete or someone just getting their toes wet into the fitness pool, we've experienced issues with our body image and have been on a crusade to burn away the fat or to look "better". We look at ourselves and say "I'm not good enough..." and proceed on to push ourselves harder during our training and with our diet to the point where the process is no longer enjoyable and you become doubtful of the progress you make. Our relationship with our body and the food we fuel ourselves with supports us along our fitness journey or athletic career, however just like with toxic relationships, it can bring us down.
In today's episode, I'm taking a deep dive into the issues that arise in body image and food for both athletes and those in fitness. I share my thoughts and opinions on why an athlete may not share their personal struggles since it's something we don't hear to often within the athletic and sports communities. I also share my experiences with body image issues as a person and athlete, and how that ultimately led me to develop an eating disorder called bulimia.
In this episode, I didn't really focus on giving advice or hot tips on how to handle these situations. Instead, I wanted to bring more awareness to the impact that body image and our relationship with food has on not just our mental health, but also life in general. However, I do hope that my experiences is insightful, makes you feel less alone, and provides a positive outlook on your situations!
