Want to give this a solid 4 stars cause sound design and gming are great and Migdall is hilarious but one of the PCs just really really sucks all of the energy out of the show and kills momentum.

I’m a new listener as of this week (ref: Anime Sickos) and I’m on my second listen through already. The GM and players are incisive and funny in a way I can only call ‘refreshing,’ and the world they’re building together is rich with mysterious detail. And I can’t tell you the hometown pride I felt learning these geniuses are from Chicago. Yes!!

As an unbiased observer, I have to say that this podcast is excellent. I just started and I’m already blown away by the attention to detail in the sound editing. The acting and improv skills on the cast and GM are also exceptional, really brings this world and the characters to life. Keep up the great work, I can’t wait to see where this goes!

NEOSCUM felt like lightning in a bottle. GUTTER feels like lighting straight to the dome. This is seriously one of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to. Each cast member brings a spark of genius to the lightning bolt of brilliance that is “GUTTER.” Mike brings a wonderfully uninhibited sense of humor. Casey brings emotional depth to his character (and some of the best audio work in the biz). Eleni plays the straight man to this cast of characters with so much skill and charm. And Gannon’s energy as a GM is just flawless: fast and frenetic, makes you feel like you’re watching a really good movie. Just a great podcast, such a fun listen. Thanks for reading my review.

Would you believe I started listening to this in the haze of a gutter-soaked fever? Anyway, what you have here is classic Mister Gutter: jokes that shouldn't be funny but are, jokes that are funny but shouldn't be, and gutter-wrenching story beats that make you wish for whatever this world's equivalent of a better tomorrow is. Also Mike yells some more, which is always a treat.

The crew is phenomenal. They’ve always had great chemistry, but Gutter is a step up. That wonderful Delta Green spookiness mix with Gannon’s twisted story crafting in a beautiful way. Casey, Eleni, and Mike are in top form here.

I got turned onto NeoScum a few years ago…which meant I had years of catching up to do. I was thrilled when I heard the group was working on a new show. Now I enjoy following their adventures in real time. Which also means that I can follow them on social media without fear of spoilers! I am not normally a consumer of fantasy or live action role-playing. I came for the storytelling and comedy, stayed for the sound design. Welcome back!
