This is a quick interview with Madison Madden, Community Manager for Austin. When you look up lively and excited in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of "Mad Mad". The sound may be a little wonky as we lost one of our mics but the message is still great. To see the video of the interview follow this link.Support the show

Episode 68: Howie and his cousin are going to drive from Austin to Steamboat Springs CO and then hike into the national forest to attend the Rainbow Gathering that has been going on since Woodstock. It is very unofficial and the Forest Service is gearing up to try and accommodate up to 10,000 people. Then Howie and his cousin will head on to Veneta OR to the Oregon Country Fair that has also been held for over 50 years. I've counted at least 7 stages and I expect there will be many more. Howie will be interviewing other people he meets at the two events and when he gets back we will be posting photos, video and audio accounts of his trip. Stay tuned. Support the show

Our guest today is Jill Dabbs, Executive Director of Downtown Springdale Alliance in Springdale Arkansas. We met when she came to Austin on a study tour of communities that are creating better places. We talked for a while after the tour and I knew that she would be a great guest for Podcast Celebrating Differences. So join us as Ani and I jump into a conversation with an amazing person. Her description of the work that is on-going in Northwest Arkansas is eye opening. It shows what can happen when enough good people get working together.
