I just returned home from an absolutely magical, healing and insightful 7-day silent retreat in the Rocky Mountains. On retreat, I developed a deepening sense of ease and lovingkindness, as the spaciousness of the natural world supported my mindfulness practice. A few big experiential realizations stood out. In this episode, I share 5 key takeaways:
1. Itchy Mind, Itchy Body!
2. Using The Useful Information in Shame as a Guide
3. How We (our minds) Make Up INCREDIBLY Convincing Stories About Others w/ Very Little to No Information
4. How to Manifest Moose (AKA How WE (our minds) Make Up INCREDIBLY Convincing Stories About Ourselves w/ Little to No Information)
5. Self-Compassion Is the SECRET SAUCE!
If this episode feels valuable to you, please share it with a loved one and pass the goodness on. You can also rate the podcast and follow it to support me, and most importantly YOU!

Hi friends! Been out of the podcast game for a bit but feeling inspired on this one. Bit of a different format here - this episode is a reading of an article I just wrote and released on the following concept:
I believe that we live in a Western world with a baseline of subtle, often “functional”, but ultimately disempowering, addiction. Binging watching tv, normalized alcohol abuse, social media scrolling and more. We need to call a spade a spade about these addictive behaviors and take more self and social responsibility to overcome them.
If you dig this episode, please give the podcast a review and even better SHARE it directly with a loved one who would benefit or be inspired.

There's a lot to learn from music festivals - home to some of the best heart opening and life-celebrating moments of my life, I believe its worth integrating these deep loving and learning experiences into our daily lives.
This episode shares some of my favorite sentimental and silly take aways from my days as a festival-goer. The invitation and encouragement is to practice living each day with the same spirit you show up to a music festival with. Because how much better would life be if we could live that freely and appreciatively every day?! A LOT BETTER. And its SO very possible to do so - you just need to CHOSE it.
If you dig this episode, it would be immensely appreciated if you could give it a review, follow and share it directly with a loved one you think would benefit from it.

It takes a village to become who we are - there is no such thing as the self-made [hu]man. Because we are truly a reflection and compilation of all the people who have impacted, and continue to impact us, along the way. When we let the village in, it brings out the best in us.
In this episode, I share a story about a recent camping trip, how I was having a hard time and isolating myself, until the village came to me and reminded me how loved and supported I am.
If this episode inspires you, I would love if you share it with a loved one, rate and subscribe to the podcast, so that we can spread these positive messages to the village beyond.

**Please forgive me for the slight reverberation of the gong throughout the episode - I have learned my lesson!**
In this episode, I speak of catching myself spending too much time in my head, preoccupied with the "destination" of my current goals. I address how we must balance future thinking with present actualization and how this life is really 99.99% a journey that we've got to have fun with!
If you dig this episode, please review the podcast and share with a loved one! Thanks for listening!

Self-Compassion Is The Secret Sauce...to health, well-being, healing and even change. It's the acceptance, love and care we can learn to offer ourselves that brings us peace. And weirdly enough, it's also this acceptance of ourselves that creates the space and energy for true change - to create the life we truly desire living - and to let it be enough.
I bring you this episode from the thick of my own hard times and hurt. Self-Compassion is a practice that gives me resiliency, peace and hope. I hope this episode inspires you to be just a little kinder to yourself!
If you dig this episode, if it inspired you in any way, please support this mission by giving the podcast a rating, subscribing, and if you feel called to, sharing with a loved one. It would mean the world to me.

This week I speak to the cultural phenomenon of the knee-jerk "sorry" - how often in public we default to apologizing anytime we cross paths too closely with another. I argue that this tendency is an extension of people pleasing, a minimization of self and a reflection of the belief that we don't deserve to share space. Exploring the topic can give rise to more self-(and other-)awareness and offer an opportunity to practice realizing your inherent worthiness in this common everyday occurrence.
This episode is for all the people-pleasers out there... Well, actually, it's for ALL of us - because we are ALL, to a certain extent, people pleasers…
I’m not a big fan of oneself identifying as a people pleaser, anyways. Because, truly we all act out people pleasing behaviors, myself included. Thats just the nature of social beings living in a rapidly evolving social context. When we say “I’m a people-pleaser”, we hold that belief close to our chest. And while helpful to acknowledge, I think that attitude makes change more difficult. It's more helpful, I believe, to recognize the behaviors…and that humans naturally do them to varying degrees. This episode highlights an example of such a behavior so that we can all become more loving, empowered individuals deserving and capable of equally sharing space.
If you like this episode, please do me (and us all) a favor and rate the podcast, subscribe and/or share with a loved one! The most wonderful thing you could do is a sincere, thoughtful recommendation for someone who you believe will benefit form this episode. It would help me (help us) inspire the best in one another!

In this week's episode, I speak about our concept of "work-life balance". I propose that this suggests an inherent, unhealthy separation between work and life - that our work is ultimately just a means-to-an-end, a space to bury our heads and get through, so we can get to living on the other side of our work day. The problem is that if we assume an average 40-hour work week, work accounts for almost a quarter of our lives! So shouldn't we feel ALIVE while working?
I advocate for a culture where meaningful, aligned work is our priority, and a possibility for all of us. Yet, in understanding that may not be accessible to all of us currently, there are ways we can breathe more life into our work, namely with intention and gratitude.
If you like this episode, please do me (and us all) a favor and rate the podcast and/or share with a loved one! We each have gifts to share with the world, and this conversation might be a starting point for someone you know to find more meaningful work in their life and have a positive impact on the world around them.

Quiggy
