This is an excellent podcast. They discuss these books with an excellent sense of humor. However, they misuse the term “moi soverenyi” (sorry if that’s not how it’s spelled), which frustrates me. The rest of the show is great and I definitely recommend it.

The grossly underrated GrishaCast takes an in-depth dive into a series I had previously never heard of. Hosts Eric and Terry bring this YA fantasy series into full view with the enthusiasm of beatlemania but the prudence of seasoned journalists. Moreover, and what drew this Grishaverse novice in, is the banter. These two hosts could do a 12 hour expose on the consistency of snail mucus and I would still be entertained throughout. Additionally, the production quality is stellar. I have never heard a podcast with so humble a following sound this good. Kudos to their producer. This podcast has made me want to read a YA series I was totally unfamiliar with. So drop whatever you are doing and subscribe to GrishaCast!

i’m only on episode 9, but i think the podcast could be improved by adding segments more related towards grishaverse discussions, literature themes, and just random themes related to the series! a lot of this is just a synopsis of what has happened in the books rather than a podcast.

To say I love SaB is an understatement, I'm borderline obsessed...LOL. I love to read and SaB remains one of my favorite book series of all time. So when I learned about this podcast, I knew I wanted to check it out. Eric & Terry are fantastic! They are halarious, they have great chemistry and are wonderfully engaging of their listeners. They make me feel like I'm in their studio with them because they are so down to earth. And even though my mom has not read the SaB books yet (gasp!), I was able to convince her to watch the Netflix TV series with me and so she's a big fan now too! Definitely recommend!

I found this podcast after watching the show. I fell in the love with the stories and now have picked up all the books and have started from the beginning. Even though I know they had a rough beginning (you can tell because they don’t seem to get the flow of things until Siege and Storm) That’s where all the fun begins. When Terry & Eric both started hosting together is where all the magic happened for me. I have listened to almost everything. Including their interview with Leigh Bardugo probably 6 times. They just make me laugh and it so nice to hear friends talking about something that I love so much. I feel like we are all just hanging out together in my car. The games they have just recently started playing are really fun and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store. My kids even have now been spurious to start Shadow & Bone. They keep hinting at merch and I can’t wait to see what comes along. I really hope they design things with the seperate Grisha Orders for us to pick from. There isn’t enough merch out there like that and I love to seperate myself from the pack. Love you Eric & Terry! Keep up the amazing work and I can’t wait to continue exploring the Grishaverse with you.

Eryk and Tairie have been doing a great job with these books. I found Grisha Cast after binge watching the Netflix show. So as of today I have read all the way through Crooked Kingdom in a month. I’ll be starting King of Scars soon! They mostly recap the chapters but I would enjoy it more if they did more discussion of the books. Drawing connects to previous chapters/books, thoughts and ideas, speculations, etc. They do great at reading scenes and Fjerdan, Marry, Kill. Their personalities, voice, and energy are what have kept me listening and reading chapter by chapter with them. I’m sad that I’ll be catching up to them in real time bc who can only read 2-3 chapters of this universe a week!?!

I would say my fav part of the shows, as a geishaverse book reader, is noticing how hard Caitlin is holding back from dropping any kind of spoiler or a foreshadow that can potentially lead to a future character/event revelation. I’m at the edge of my seat, too. Just you wait Mandi! Just you wait.

I thought this would be a cool discussion about the chapters they cover in their read along. Instead they summarize what you just read- would be a lot better if they actually went into detail about things and what they might mean. Instead they hint at things that haven’t happened yet and tell us what we just read. TL;DR use this podcast if you have to read these books as an assignment for school and you don’t want to read but don’t expect them to enrich your knowledge

So I just discovered Grishacast a couple of days ago while I was making a 9 hour drive home. It is literally the perfect podcast for me in so many ways! I want to start off by saying how awesome Eryk is! I can tell how in love with the book he is. It’s just amazing to find other people also on the same level of love with this book (or any book) as myself. It’s such a great way to recap before the show airs in a week! I absolutely love everything about this!

I’m only on episode one right now and I’m already 100% in! both these hosts definitely clearly love the book so much and I’m so excited to get some supplemental content to go with the books from fellow fans! Also don’t worry I’m a very slow reader to and it probably took me just as much time to get through the books my dude!

If you love Leigh Bardugo’s books you have to listen to this podcast. It’s been such a fun experience reading through the books with them, especially since one of the hosts is a first time reader. Eric and Terry are hilarious and I always appreciate when friends do podcasts together so even their tangents are entertaining. Keep up the amazing work both of you!
