The Atlas Vampire was an unknown assailant who committed the unsolved "Vampire Murder" in Stockholm, Sweden. But the thing about vampires is that even though vampires are known as fictional, there has been a long history of humans in modern-day vampire cults who drink blood. Apparently it’s a clinical disorder though - it’s called Renfield’s syndrome, the obsession with drinking blood. Mary Ann Britland was known as the first woman to be executed by hanging at Strangeways Prison in Manchester. Over the course of a year, she poisoned her daughter, her husband, and her neighbor. And even though she maintained that she was not guilty, she was sentenced to death on August 9th 1886.
