I have gained a great deal of personal insight from this podcast. I’m a big fan of this man and hope for more.

I Will Get By, I Will Survive
Matt emerged as a beacon of hope during the early days of the pandemic to encourage us to log off and grill up.
Much like a good Grateful Dead show, these are freewheeling live recordings with fans that are diehards. I am one of them. It’s weird to think it’s been going on for over three years but here we are.

After you have cleaned your grill thoroughly with your brush, spray it with a grill-worthy non-stick spray and then turn it up to 450-500 degrees.
Place steak over direct heat to sear – let it stay over direct heat for 3-4 minutes. Flip and sear an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side.
If you are cooking a fattier meat, like a Ribeye, you will probably want to move the steak over to indirect heat at this time. Leaner meats, like a New York Strip or Filet should be left over direct heat the entire time.
Then check with your meat thermometer (stick the probe into the side of the steak, not on top!). Possibly let cook for another 1 minute or so – for medium rare you are looking for an internal temp of 130-140; for medium you want 140-145. If you want it medium well or your steak is thicker than 1 inch, you may just need to keep on indirect heat a bit longer – medium well you want 145-155.
Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes, preferably on a separate plate as the juices will be flowing. Steak wasn’t meant to be eaten piping hot. Once cooled, add your sides and serve!

We love you Matt
Thank you Matt for all that you do, all that you've done, and all that I know you'll continue to do. You've changed the way I look at life around me for the better by pairing words to the feelings I've always held and have turned an ambient despair into a radical optimism.
I know I don't know you (most of us don't) but we love you so much and we're sending all our best your way. I know you'll pull through for the incredible times laying ahead for you. Thank you for being you.

We love to see it, don’t we folks
Matt Christman does it all. Television, religion/spirituality, philosophy, and history plus more. Very enlightening yet also entertaining.

Not very good
I tried to do an entire episode but couldn’t make it through. Rambling through topics as he searches the internet & gets distracted. His takes are essentially opposite everything & not very well thought out. Gets boring pretty quick.

The Salve I Need
I don’t know if I can really put into words how important Matt’s voice has been since the crashing turn around of the 2020 Democratic primary. At no point did he ever make an attempt to rouse one single optimistic strain in his audience, but his intelligence and honesty, and his curious mix of ego and anti-ego have, I think, led
Has applied the right color and texture to the times in which we are trapped. So for me, my experience of him has been very personal, and I think, or I hope for him, that, despite his tendency to self face, that he understands his own genius and if he feels limited, that’s OK, everyone is, but he’s having real impact I believe. Obviously not for everyone, but on a weekly basis, it’s quite a tonic

Absolute must-listen
For the uninitiated, Matt’s epic rants/sermons on politics, culture, metaphysics, and history might feel a bit obscure, or even a bit grandiose. But I honestly think that through these talks, he is at least pointing towards a genuinely new understanding of how humanity can understand itself and move forward into this next epoch of history that is looming over us. If I had unlimited time, I would transcribe and annotate each of these episodes so that we could track the development of his ideas over time, and also perhaps present them in a more organized manner.

Dude talks about ACTION but does absolutely nothing. Spends the entire episode justifying his own inaction. Cool grift.

Good to listen to while hooked on opiates
You either have to be mentally ill or deep within a narcotic fugue state to listen/follow this stream of consciousness diatribe on historical minutiae. In my case it’s both. Bravo!

Open your 3rd eye
Matt makes me feel something and besides what else do I have to do. Don’t turn it off if you hear burping, singing or silence. It’s all typical and worth enduring for the good vibes and random nuggets of existential goodness. Give it a try and rapture up.

Helped me function
It’s not hyperbole to say that Matt’s spiritual journey and his honesty regarding his own lived experience helped me get to a place where I can function and enjoy life again, even tinged by the doubt that all of this is wrong (capitalism, not life in general).
His willingness to put himself out there and process his thoughts and challenge them is honestly brave and helped me understand my own thinking as well.
If you’re on his wavelength, you will get a lot out of these. If you’re not, you still might learn the meaning of life. Give it a shot, what do you have to lose?

Essential listening
Matt Christman has been on a journey, and I’ve greatly appreciated him bringing us along. His vlogs have managed to create a truly unique and (for me anyway) uplifting experience. In one episode he is a spiritual explorer, searching for meaning and purpose in our late stage capitalist world. And in the next he’ll feel like a personal tour guide to the American decline. In a political culture full of snark and fear of being “owned” the Cushvlogs provide a refreshing oasis of sincerity.

How Future Generations Will Understand Our Lost Weekend at Capitalism’s
From the frying pan of the corrupt Democratic primary into the fire of early pandemic days of 2020, Matt Christman’s stream of consciousness provided relatable catharsis. People clapped and sang as the less fortunate suffered and died, but we focused only on the grilling potential immediately before us. With the Voteball series, though, the CushVlog revealed its importance as a document for posterity of life within the Tesla-on-autopilot known as American capitalism. A great listen for anyone looking for figures in the foggy, enveloping debris. Lots of laughs.

unified theory stream of consciousness
Come for the cultural and political critique and stay for the historical and spiritual synthesis. Matt articulates what I’ve been thinking and feeling for years, but couldn’t quite put my finger on. A+ content for any leftist, particularly in this current moment.

I like what he said but this is not podcast quality.
Big fan but of Chapo and Matt but it pains me that I downloaded this podcast when the two episodes I’ve listened too is far from the quality I expect from a podcast in general. This is just ripped audio from a twitch stream so be prepared to be inundated with huge long pauses between talking. I get it’s just Matt but it’s so distracting to listen to in audio only form. Maybe the twitch is preferable but I can’t watch videos while working.

Actually articulate. I disagree with a lot of his worldview, find myself surprised where I agree. Very interested to watch the evolution of his thought.
