Sad it’s over
Such an informative and interesting show! Fun way to nerd out on space. Had to finally look the host up online so I could stop imagining Owen Wilson talking to me.

Owen Wilson, is that you?
Does anyone else think the host sounds like Owen Wilson? Anyhow, thank you SO much for great space content!

Sad to see the podcast come to an end
It was a good five years and I learned a lot. Thanks for a great podcast!

On to new challenges.

Truly Fascinating
You can read about any of NASA’s missions or operations on Wikipedia, but this podcast goes 10x deeper. The guests’ enthusiasm is infectious, and Jim Green’s hosting is engaging and humble (though he had a massive career at NASA, he asks the questions we common folk would ask — if we knew what to ask!)

So fun!
I love this podcast. I’m such a nasa and science nerd. Thank you.

Fabulous
What a wonderful podcast. I love the interviews, the passion and curiosity, and also the focus on so many women in the field. Thank you for the warmth, investigation, and adventure! 🚀🛰

Jim Green simplifies complex ideas
Fascinating topics and people on the show breaking down complex ideas for those science lovers among us.

Informative, but the host is very annoying
This is an informative podcast, but the host speaks like he is talking to the audience of Sesame Street. The way he speaks is literally the way an adult would speak to a child, and it’s very annoying. Either someone at NASA needs to grow some balls and tell their chief to talk normally, or the podcast should get a new host that understands his audience is not children, but mostly adults.

Great subjects and the right questions asked. I enjoy it immensely. Jim is the best !!!!

New favorite
So good! I look forward to each episode released and can’t get enough. It’s fascinating, well made, and the topics are well translated so anyone can understand.

Dr. Jim Green is all of us
Dr. Jim Green is the Chief Scientist at NASA, so it stands to reason that he knows an awful lot about most topics related to space. But as the host of Gravity Assist, you'd think he was an eager grad student, because he has a way of asking questions that help make even intricate topics easily understood by laypeople. I love his endless enthusiasm, and his boundless desire to share the beauty of space with the rest of us. I'll bet that he has been the "gravity assist" that launch the careers of many space scientists.

Thank you NASA!
I listen to a lot of science and space podcasts. This is my favorite pure-space based podcast. Always educational, and focused on a single well defined subject for each episode. Excellent!

Such a great podcast
This is the best podcast for space science. Awesome topics and very very good questions answered. Pure science. Just try it

Love this
My 10 year old son and I listen to this on our 1/2 hour commute to school in the mornings. I love watching him get excited about space and learning about all the awesome things NASA is up to. I especially love hearing about what inspired all these great scientists to get where they are today. And the background music is awesome too 😉

I learn something every episode!
I really enjoy listening to this podcast. The host is excellent, he’s so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and it really comes through in the discussions. So fascinating! I love NASA!

Ringing noise driving me crazy
Please remove this annoying background audio from the otherwise great show.

Great podcast on space! 😁🚀
I love NASA! 👽

Kill the music!
The science is good and the guests are interesting. But I can't stand the background new age music anymore! I may have to unsubscribe from this podcast. What exactly is the point of the music? All it does is make it harder to concentrate on what is being said. Pointless.
marclouis
Background music must stop
The background music plays through the whole episodes and is annoying and distracting. Never mind it’s reminiscent of something a tree-hugging astrologer would do and beneath what Nasa should do. If the information and discussion are good, that is what grabs our attention. If it’s not, then a bad producer will overlay music to distract us from a bad piece. I guess the question is, does NASA believe in their own podcast? It seems that the answer is “No.”

Annoying Background Noise
The producers need to lose the “cosmic background radiation” noise they lay enter the entire track. It’s a really annoying part of otherwise great content that’s well presented for non-expert but space interested audiences.

Science!
I am a middle school science teacher, and I love learning from this podcast and sharing the information with my students to excite them about space and their future of space!

Great production
This is a really well done podcast. Sound and background are perfect. The narrative is understandable and to the point.

Great show, fix audio please
No complaints except the audio levels. Volume turned all the way up is not loud enough to hear most guests and sometimes the host while I’m at work. I end up skipping a lot of episodes because of this. It’s also a problem on the NASA weekly news podcast. Love the show, just turn the audio up please!

Suggestions for Podcast
Hi there, I listen to your podcasts and I really enjoy them. I wish I was working at NASA. Could you please have more podcasts about the possibility of life in other planets inside and outside our solar system. I read articles about Kepler planets, or other places where there might be a possibility of life, but since I am not familiar with all the scientific names and terms it’s hard to make sense of them. I really appreciate if you read this. Thanks for the great podcast. Also, if you like please let me know of other podcasts by NASA. I found Gravity Assist randomly. Thanks again, Ps. I tried to send an email. It didn’t work.

Well done series
Would you please do an episode on the asteroid belt, and in particular the Trojans and the Greeks? Are they contantly bouncing off each other or in a relatively stable orbit? Explaining asteroid terminology like “families” and an overview on gravity with regards to asteroids orbiting in a group, would be really helpful. Thanks! Love the series, please keep it going. Discussing historical satellite missions would be fascinating too

This podcast rocks! 🤟🏼🌚💫☄️
Fun listening! It’s satisfying my sense of adventure with our solar system. Like ordering up that tasty sampler platter except it’s planets, moons, objects, rings, the sun, and more. Nom nom nom!

Really cool

Reminds me why I wanted to be an astronaut

Outstanding podcast?
This is straight to the point, the host really know what they are talking about and they are entertaining!! The guest are also highly informative and passionate about space! I would love to hear a show about the asteroid belt.

Best podcast ever
This is honestly the best, most informative podcast I've ever listened to. I could never fully grasp the scope of space and how amazing it is until I listened to Gravity Assist. Even the most basic details that the scientist throw out as common knowledge blow my mind. My husband and I only got 2 minutes into an episode once before we had to pause it to discuss everything that was said. I hope that they never stop making this podcast. The host is extremely good and the guests are awesome. I also love that there are so many female scientists featured. I love this podcast and I look forward to listening every week. To the host and guests- Thank you so much for expanding my horizons and helping me understand and appreciate this awesome universe we live in. This podcast is so inspiring and mind expanding.

Amazing!
I'm a Neuroscience major so I don't get much time to study astrophysics. This podcast is an amazing substitute and I look forward to listening EVERY week.

Excited to learn more!
I am a complete non-expert who never did much science even through my masters agree but lately I've become really interested in space and this podcast is the perfect level of information. It's interesting and design for the layperson it seems but I'm sure everyone would enjoy hearing from these experts and hearing the latest in the field. The host has a wonderful demeanor and tone and is an absolute joy to listen to. This would probably be a great podcast for middle and high school students were interested in science and space as well.

Fine Start
Better than any of the other NASA podcasts. Presenter is informed and isn't annoyingly bubbly. A keeper, unlike too many NASA podcasts.
