Used to be good
This used to be good, but now they’ve pulled off almost all their content and moved it to their own website for $50 A MONTH for access. That’s an outrageous price.

Helpful to Industry to Understand Government
Just 1 min ads for a service. Used to be a good podcast.

Great episodes
Great information but having to pay for a subscription beyond 401 isn’t cost effective in my opinion personally. This was a great platform to share bits of pieces of information on contracting.

For Federal Contractors - A Wealth of Information
I get so much great information out of every episode. Each has a topic that is of interest to Federal Contractors as well as Contracting Officers. If you are selling to the government, you MUST listen to this podcast. You may win millions for doing so!

Best Contracting podcast!
Love this podcast. So much great information regarding government contracting from both sides of the acquisition. Always thought contracting officers were so serious until I listen to these two guys. Lol

Thank you!!
I'm a one-year Fellow in DoD tasked with helping to integrate the various modernization initiatives. It seemed hopeless that I'd absorb enough context to make any kind of sustaining difference by the time my year is done - now I feel like I've got buddies on call to explain things to me and after two episodes I'm hooked. Great resource!
There are not of quality podcasts out there for small businesses that contain practical and usable information. This is one of my three go-to podcasts. I have a long commute and have spent it listening to this for the last few months to “get caught up” on all of the old episodes. Absolutely worth the time! This is podcast is a must for those new to the GovCon world.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
I started a new job recently and my task is to be the “GSA expert”. I’ve spent weeks spinning my wheels trying to figure this all out. Calling every help desk and other resources and doing online research. There is ZERO clear information online (well, that’s what it feels like). I stumbled across this podcast and I could just cry because I’ve finally found answers to my questions. In particular, the episode on the VA schedules was so incredibly helpful. Thank you!

good
I’d say the info is helpful but not as helpful for a small district in the DOJ.

Don’t ever stop!
I am a PCO working for the Department of the Air Force and came across this podcast while looking for something relaxing to listen to while I did my house work. You guys are awesome and the content you cover is so universal and extensive. We are all experts in our own rights, but the is completely dependent on where we work and what mission partners we support. I can’t wait to hear more from you all and honestly have some ideas of my own that I think other people out in industry and other program offices across the acquisition workforce community could benefit from (Ex: HTRO). Keep doing what you are doing. You guys are awesome!

Fantastic overview
I am a government contractor who gets confused by the government acquisition process and why and how decisions get made. This podcast has helped personify the job and motivations of the contracting officer and helps me know hold to approach issues.

Inviting
As a “non-acquisition professional” (seller side), I found it extremely refreshing that they state the show is not just for contracting officers (buyer side). Great show and I will continue to listen and support!

Great for FAC-P/PM CLPs
Great show! Federal program and project managers can learn a lot from The Contracting Officer Podcast about how their counterparts in Acquisition help get the job done. Great way to earn your free CLPs and PDUs!

You need to know what both sides think.
It is extremely helpful to see how contacting is viewed from both sides of the table. As I start my journey into government contracting, I’ve been lucky enough to find this podcast, and learn as much as I can. As they say in the podcast, the 80/20 rule of government contracting is 80% Knowing the process, and 20% how you perform. At this stage, learning is the biggest focus, followed by going from $0 to $1 in government contracting. We may benefit from hearing about the first 1-5 years of other successful government contractors, but we may benefit from doing interviews ourselves. Thanks team. Jason L Bell from Minerva Ponos.

Topics are useful, varied, and easy to internalize. Very useful to me as a Program Manager on an IDIQ.

Fantastic Learning Tool!
As a 24 year old, I’m finding that years of experience in the Contracting world is imperative to dealing with certain situations when it comes to contracts. Because of my youth, I have become obsessed with using this podcast as a basis for learning contracting concepts that I otherwise would not learn until years later through “experience.” I love the connection each podcast makes to a FAR Clause and that it provides a real life problem to even further put it into perspective of the day to day life in Contracting. Keep up the great work, I always look forward to listening to new episodes and reviewing the old ones!

I am a new PCO and this helping me understand really hone my knowledge. I’d love to hear more about T&M/Labor Hour and BPAs!

Incredibly helpful for industry advisers
I appreciate the time and depth spent by the presenters on each topic. Although the focus audience is primarily COs and industry program managers, as legal counsel for an industry contractor I find many episodes incredibly relevant. It’s nice to hear from the COs perspective. I’d love to hear more podcasts diving into critical FAR clauses that come up during performance and happy to provide suggested topics.

Insightful and Important, even for those not in Fed Govt
I work in procurement at the State level and it’s great to hear Kevin and Paul break down procurement principles into why govt and industry should care, which are fundamental questions to answer in order to build trust between them.

Great Podcast
I’m so glad you two were bold enough to put together a podcast focusing on acquisition topics from government and industry perspectives. I’ve actually used some of your material in my training. Keep up the great work!

Making the complicated seem simple
I am a PTAC that assists businesses with government contracting. We have to be government contracting generalists, and this podcast is a fantastic way to learn about new topics or gain new perspective on topics I’m familiar with. This is a very complicated industry and the hosts give “real world” insights that you’ll rarely get elsewhere. They also speak at a level that is easy to understand. Thank you! You do an excellent job!

Great for COs or those who love them
If you perform work with/for the government or are curious as to what it would entail you should listen to this podcast — your competition is. Interesting hosts and guests with real insight. Most content is geared towards USA federal contracting but it’s helpful for state contractors also. Stay tuned for the upcoming and special bicentennial episode where they will read the entire FAR in a single recording. note: if you are a division twelve contractor or NAICS 238390 you should definitely never ever listen to these podcasts. Just sayin’ ...

Extremely helpful
This podcast really captures a perspective so rarely available in your everyday contracting job. Kevin and Paul do a great job of covering relevant concepts relating to government acquisitions and are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. This is said on every episode, and I totally agree with it: if you work anywhere in the government contracting world, this podcast is for you.

Great Podcast
If you are a KO today you need to be listening to this podcast. I've been subscribed since 2015 and look forward to each episode. I like the breakdown of topics without a ton of FAR talk! Has made me rethink how I approach contracting as a career field.

Fantastic Resource
If you are new to the government contracting process, Kevin and Paul do a fantastic job of explaining the process. Government contracting is a much more intensive acquisition process. There are many rules and regulations on both the government agency and the contractor. This podcast removes the "shroud of secrecy" of finding and winning a government contract within you niche.

Fantastic learning source
Very good source for understanding what it takes for federal goods and services to not only be purchased, implemented, monitored, and closed out. Very complicated but this has great highlights and examples.

Gents, you both work together well and seem to like each other, which makes listening to you both enjoyable – – and even fun! Both Kevin and Paul seem very competent. Kevin's strength is his energy and passion, and Paul's strength is to keep things on track -- keeping dialogue contained to singular topics in order to keep too many details from getting in the way of learning. For a newcomer to contracting like myself, too much detail at one time is too much. Your presentation structure is spot on. I also like Paul's guitar opening! Thank you for what you do. I look forward to your next podcast!

Excellent government contracting content delivered with some humanity!
Kevin and Paul deliver rock-solid information about government contracting in language that is easy to understand and relatable. Their explanations of why certain things are done the way they are and why they seem to take so long are very enlightening. They equally give government "the business" about being as transparent and communicative, as possible. This is a must-listen for everyone in the government contracting space!

Great Resource for Government Contractors!
As a Government sector proposal professional wearing multiple hats from coordinating to writing, I have to be very selective in my time to invest into training and development. I get so many emails from training providers offering free webinars or proposal advice. It often gets hard to sift through all the content as I determine if it will be worth my time to invest. Skyway is one of just a few organizations that every time I read a blog entry or listen to a webinar/podcast I always get useful information. Additionally, having information from a Contracting Officer’s perspective has transformed the way I do my job. This is reflected in the content I produce from Sources Sought responses to Government proposal submissions. I find it so beneficial to my personal development that I personally invested into my Community membership.

Awesome Information for Contract Officers
The podcast provided for an 1102/ contract specialist / contract officers by Skyway is more informative than most information that I have received from peers. There is an intricate breakdown to the Federal Acquisition Regulation. I thoroughly enjoy he topics presented and have used many of the topics covered in my contract decisions. Thank you so much for sharing Kevin and team.

Always learning
I've been in Government contracting for 10 years, 8 of which has been as a contracting officer. I just found this podcast and it is now what I listen to on my daily commute. Nice refresher material and some new insights as well.

Very informative
If you are in the government contracting field, or want to be involved in this industry - this is the best podcast. It is loaded with information that would take years of hands-on experience to accumulate. I definitely recommend this to anyone that is curious about government proposals, technical information, or simply trying to get an edge on their competition.
One improvement needed!
Fantastic Wealth of Information
Kevin met me in Tampa and explained the podcast. I started with the backlog at episode 1 and am now at episode 27. As an Analyst who has recently made the jump to a Business Development role, this podcast is the perfect way to learn about the nuances of contracts, proposals, and how to do business with the government. I've now recommended the podcast to friends and colleagues too. Keep up the great work.

Government Contracts? This is for you!
If you bid on government contracts, you will want to listen to this. If you are in government acquisition, you will want to listen to this. These guys are trying to educate both sides on what is going on to make the process easier on both sides. Excellent Info. I don't even do federal contracts and still find this invaluable. It is making me better.

Very Appreciative SDVOSB Owner
My good friend, who's a contracting officer turned me on to this podcast a few days ago and it's all I've been listening to since then. I've also shared it with other SBO friends I have. Kevin and Paul, thank you so much for providing this invaluable information - for FREE! While I feel fortunate to have entered the "game" with a subcontract from day one, (2 1/2 years ago) I am still trying to figure things out. This is a business you should never get too knowledgeable to get educated on so this podcast is a gem to me! Thank you for your candor from both the industry and government side. Can you please speak on how a subcontractor can leverage their past performance to win prime contracts and/or to grow their business even if it is to win other subcontracting work? How does that work if you want to let other agencies and prime contractors know about your company's past performance? My company provides IT services and of course our staff works directly with the clients who constantly compliment the excellent service they receive. How can I use that as a reference without stepping on my prime's toes, if that makes sense?

Consideration for both sides
My first impression was to bail because I assumed the information would be industry heavy. Not the case—I'm impressed by just how balanced these insights are. Seven hours in, this podcast has owned my drives to work, cooking dinner, pretty much any downtime I have. Simply put, this is a detailed conversation whose hosts are clever and cohesive given the challenging topics. Stellar work!
