We consider the communion, or joint participation, we have in Christ shown in the common table, common bread, and common cup shared by those who partake of the Supper. We find that sharing the table, bread, and cup has spiritual significance and we should not go away from Christ's institution. Preached from 1 Corinthians 10:16-22 on Sabbath PM 02/20/22.

We continue our series on worship and consider the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Supper. We reject that blasphemous view of the Supper found in Rome's transubstantiation but embrace the presence of Christ in the Supper by His Spirit as the Word of God teaches. Preached from 1 Corinthians 10:1-22 Sabbath PM on 01/30/22

As our series on gospel worship continues, we consider what accompanies the singing of the psalms and find that God prescribes only the human voice in the gospel era. That the instruments of worship were tied to the Levitical priesthood and that the instruments of the Old Testament were abolished when the sacrifices were abolished. But now, the Lord wants the Church to sing acapella - the sacrifice of praise being the fruit of our lips that comes as the product of plucking the strings of our heart. We also survey church history to find that the Christian Church has been very unified on this point for most of Church history. Even to the point that the word acapella derives its meaning from "in chapel style". Preached Sabbath PM on 10/24/21 from 2 Chronicles 29:25-29 and Hebrews 13:15.

In our third sermon on Exclusive Psalmody we discover the author of the psalms is not David but the Holy Spirit. As the author of the psalms is perfect and infallible so too are the words that He has composed. That no mere man can compare to the divine composer of the psalms. In addition, we see how the psalms are new songs after the advent of Jesus Christ and to sing a new song is a command to sing the psalms with the light of the gospel shining upon them. Finally, our psalm singing is of no use, if we are not filled with the Spirit who inspired them, they are no use if we do not sing with faith and understanding. Preached Sabbath PM on 10/17/21 from 2 Samuel 23:1-2 and Ephesians 5:17-19.

As our series on Worship continues, we consider the first major objection to singing psalms exclusively - that we do not sing the name 'Jesus' in worship. We discover what the name of Jesus portends - that He is the LORD - and that something better than the bare name of Jesus is found in the psalms: His very presence. We experience Jesus Christ when we sing the psalms with His Spirit and have fellowship with Him. Preached Sabbath PM from Colossians 3:16, and Philippians 2:5-11 on 09/19/21.
