Mugabi is an award winning author, poet and occasional rapper currently based out of Kampala. After publishing his debut novel “Dear Philomena” in 2017, he was selected by the literary festival Writivism as on of the 56 writers who have contributed to Uganada’s literary heritage in the 56 years since Ugandan independence. We talk about balancing notes from your inner circle with the perspective of an outsider, becoming your own promoter, and coin the term "Mugabi Cinematic Universe."
