Dear Good Nightmare
I dint know HOW IN THE WORLD my 5-Star review of Blood On The Rocks got posted to your podcast by mistake - but I am however elated at the gods of fate for leading me hereto Good Nightmare where I’ve just recently become a fan of YOUR podcast as well - you can well imagine my disbelief as I was stunned to see my review below for a completely different program ... but thankfully I get this chance right now to leave a five star review for you, for YOUR work - and cut &paste the other one, to where it’s supposed to go ~ Cheers Sarah. I’m well embarrassed at the mishap and mystified over how & why it happened but I am much relieved at this God-given chance to fix it - AND to have found another great podcast: I love your show!!

Love this podcast!
I appreciate how the hostess does this as a labor of love. I have enjoyed all of the topics she has covered and have been binging all of the episodes since I found it last week. Thank you for all of your hard work putting this together! It makes my own work go by much faster. Keep it up!

“Overlook” of basic editing= lack of credibility
I was shocked to hear the host actually repeat the same sentences and phrases on at least two separate occasions during the piece on The Stanley. How in the world could this slip through the cracks- did no one even bother to review the piece before publishing? Very sloppy work. It’s a shame, as this was the first episode I checked out since I love “The Shining” and have visited the hotel in Estes Park. But after hearing the 20-second intro consisting of general hotel background immediately repeated, it felt like amateur hour. (1:10-1:50) Then, when it happened a second time at 3:45...wow, how unbelievably bad. What a poor first impression.

Fantastic and fun
I am here because Desertdog6 left such a lame review. Don’t let the incels influence what you listen to! They’re usually wrong. This podcast has some unique and well-researched episodes and the host poses some fun questions and concepts to think about. I’m 5 episodes in and very much looking forward to the rest!

Man Hating Woman Tries To Change History
I just listened to the Elizabeth Bathory episode. The host first makes the assumption that everyone has heard of Bathory, therefore she doesn’t provide many details. She then goes on to state that Bathory was set up by a political rival due to a large debt - and that there is no way witnesses could be possible. The host fails to consider that a person in Bathory’s could get away with a great many things - especially if that person had a mental illness which caused them to believe that bathing in the blood of virgins would help her look young. I prefer podcasters to provide actual facts, then give their analysis. Or to give both sides of a story. Unfortunately the host is more concerned with making a female serial killer look better instead of acknowledging that women are possible of having mental health issues and killing scores of people. Red Handed and Dark Histories are better alternatives than this nonsense.

Amazing
I love love this podcast! I just wish the episodes were longer so I could listen longer!

Amazing show!
Sarah’s voice is rich and velvety and soothing as hell as she gives a good overview of a lot of things from the darker side of life, both well known and not. Fairy tales, true crime, urban myths, this show has it all. Even if she does give the Bothell Hell House time it absolutely does not deserve. A+ best non-egg.

Smart & Scary
This show is as insightful as it is creepy. Sarah packs so much context and nuance into every little episode—without sacrificing the storytelling one bit. It’s easy listening and totally worthy of your binge time. Gonna recommend this one to all my nerdiest (and creepiest) friends.

Perfectly Bite Sized
The fairy tales and dark stories are delivered by a lovely narrator. I love that I can easily listen to several of these episodes at once. I don’t have a lot of time to listen to long episodes in one sitting, so these are great!

Nice new show I recently discovered. Episodes are quick and get to the details without rambling. Entertaining and the voice is calming

Wonderful!
I normally don't listen to podcasts with such short episodes but the host has the most inviting, warm and soothing voice. Even when telling a story I've heard a million times I find myself enchanted and actually enjoying the story as if for the first time. A great podcast that is well worth the binge.

Amazing podcast
Love the host and the topic! A fresh take on something we all are curious about

Great show
I love the show, the topics are extremely interesting, and the narrative style is very good. My one complaint is about the audio quality. The bass is a bit heavy making it a little difficult to hear through speakers. Otherwise, I highly recommend this podcast.

Creepy with a Heart
Good Nightmare is a lovely podcast covering a range of creepy and fairy tales, some of which we've heard, but, even when we have, Sarah, places a new twist, provides new information, and or discusses theories related to the story. These tales are interesting and sometimes terrifying, but Sarah's heart and concern for the health of her listeners carries through every single episode. I highly recommend this podcast because I get my fill of creepiness, and I hear them from a person with a heart of gold. Alysa, Best Forevers: A Podcast for Kindred Spirits

New fave
I really love this podcast. It's soothing, yet creepy and loveable, if all of those things can possibly be said in one sentence. ;) I love the host's voice as well. Plus, she seems so real and genuine.

Good nightmare is wicked and enjoyable
I love her voice and accent. I enjoy the stories she tells. Short but super enjoyable. From the well known stories to the not so well known. Keep it up!!!

Well told stories
I love the combination of true crime, fairy tales, legends, etc.

great storytelling!
I love Sarah's soothing voice and cool re-workings of some older stories. I binged all the episodes last week! Some notes: the Lizzie Borden story was great; I learned voodoo is not witchcraft; someone else loves the movie Ever After; I've been to the Winchester House and it's creepy af, but the Cecil Hotel is a local place I still need to visit. I appreciate a lot about the episodes, including some subtle aspects like how much she can communicate in far less than an hour, and her incredible, empathy-driven, storytelling. For being what seems to be a one-person show, there's A LOT of quality work and audio entertainment here. Keep up the good work! -linzi

An Amazing Mix of True Crime & Fairy Tales
Such an amazingly researched podcast that has a amazing variety of topics. I can't wait to see where this podcast will go. It will definitely be a top podcast!

Quality story telling and content!
I subscribed! The host is an engaging storyteller and I've enjoyed the topics of choice so far. I think audio quality is a little poor though and could use a better mic and pop filter. I see a lot of potential here-- looking forward to the rest!

Really enjoying this podcast!

A Creepy Snack!
This podcast is like a snack for my creepy side. Sarah has a great delivery and wonderful accent and I like that she isn't afraid to let her emotions fly. So many podcasts come off as wooden and dry because they are trying to be NPR. I enjoy the interesting take on creepy and weird topics! Make more episodes!! LOL!

A potpourri of creepyness
A good assessment of spooky themes and subject matter, that delves deep into the respective histories. Sarah gives good NPR voice and it's more to-the-facts than Lore.

Quick and scary
Whenever I need a quick and scary listen I always put on Good Nightmare. I love that I'm able to get interesting stories, in such a short time. The host has a great voice and keeps the listener engaged.

Wonderful, interesting podcast; excellent host
There are SO many good things that I could say about this podcast. It is beautifully written and voiced. I could listen to this host for 24 hours, and not get tired of her! Even when she talks about well-known cases or stories, they sound brand new.
Forgotten News Podcast
5 Stars!
This is a very charming podcast with excellent narration. Sarah does a great job bringing her listeners stories that are truly disturbing on the surface, but reveal something even more sinister about what’s hiding in the dark corners of our minds. Highly recommended!
