I loved Eric Bricker’s April 12th podcast with therapist/writer Mary Olitzky, LMHC. Ms. Olitzky talks about her own recovery from alcohol addiction, which, in itself,is an act of admirable courage and determination. And Eric’s interview leads the listener on an unexpected journey. It reveals Ms. Olitzky’s raw emotions, her vulnerabilities, her grace and humor about her early mistaken beliefs about the process of recovery, and relationships. It also reveals her brilliance of weaving her lived experiences with her insights into the advances in psychological and medical knowledge. Carrying his usual humor, skill and humanity into his interview with Ms. Olitzky, Eric once again shows his talent of mixing his clinical background with his understanding and compassion for the human condition.
