The Christian does not need to worry over difficult circumstances. We don't have to be afraid of anything. The key is having faith in God's Promises. Such faith produces courage. God's sovereignty and belief in it is the key.

One of the great themes of the Bible is the divine promise of victory for Christ and His church. King Jesus will and is winning the spiritual battles being waged on earth. His church is the key element in this victory of Christ. The church is on the offensive not the defensive. Jesus' promise in Matthew 16:18 is drawn from the divine promise of Genesis 22:17.

Jesus' teaching in his hometown synagogue of Nazareth amazed the people but they could not believe in Him because of His upbringing and family identification. Men don't see Jesus unless they are freed of their bondage to sin and enabled to see.
