#GLTBookClub podcast #17 with #MathsChatLive and special guest Anne Watson, Care in Mathematics Education: Alternative Educational Spaces and Practices
The Greenshaw Learning Trust Book Club is a podcast in which teachers discuss the ideas and concepts in a leading education book with the author themselves. Join Rhiannon Rainbow (@Noni_Rainbow) and Dave Tushingham (@DaveTushingham) for a long form discussion about educational literature! #GLTBookClub This session is the very first in our series done in conjunction with #MathsChatLive which is the work of #GLTBookClub friend Atul Rana (@AtulRana). In this #GLTBookClub session we have a transformative book to look at, Care in Mathematics Education: Alternative Educational Spaces and Practices with Special Guest Anne Watson (@annemathwatson). We will be focusing on pages 79-85 inclusive. This seemed an appropriate part to discuss in more detail. The theory comes before and the 'case studies' and conclusion comes after - so this section felt like the core of the book. The session was live streamed and the panel was made up of some incredible people too; John Mason (JohnMOxford), Alison Borthwick (@easternmaths), Julia Smith (@tessmaths), Kathryn Darwin (@Arithmaticks), Charlotte Holland (@mrshawthorne7), Kieran Mackle (@Kieran_M_Ed) and before her power cut Rachel Helme (@HelmeRachel).
