Ep 143: Paloma King – The Artist Series
As I launched this artist series, I couldn't imagine starting with anyone other than my beautiful, eloquent and talented friend Paloma King. She is a painter from Belfast and her work, in my opinion, is reflective of how I know her as a person. It's a time-tended infusion and revealing of layers upon layers of experience, light, color, wisdom, texture and life. I was nothing short of mesmerized while listening across the world during her interview. Here is one sample of her work and I encourage you to visit her gorgeous website to view her collection, find out where you might see her work and read other equally captivating interviews with this fascinating and inspiring woman. Where to find Paloma: WebSite: https://www.palomaking.co.uk/ Instagram: paloma.king.painter The Artist Series: This podcast has always been my space to shine light on people who are inspired - whatever the focus - and taking action. In the past 6 years, I've shared stories with artists, activists, athletes, entrepreneurs and engineers. Many times, those I sought out to interview were discovered from my own curiosity and research. This particular 12-month series will focus on visual artists as I seek to learn more about how artists create, what inspired them to create and hopefully, bring to the surface more about my own yearning for a new artistic outlet. I hope you enjoy these stories and feel inspired to create as well!

Ep 141: Ford on Reforestation
A self-professed contrarian, Ford Seeman is determined to challenge the idea that we can’t do anything as individuals to save our planet. To empower people and businesses with tools to track and negate their carbon footprint, Ford created Forest Founders -- a straightforward, subscription-based service where users can plant trees and earn rewards through a personalized dashboard. Raised in the concrete jungle of New York City, Ford still found a way to develop an affinity for nature. He fondly recalls a summer spent in an Outward Bound program. Somewhere between canoe trips and treks through the wilderness, Ford developed a lasting appreciation for nature and a sense of responsibility to our environment and its trees, the ultimate carbon reducer. After studying political science and psychology at Lesley University, Ford went on to explore many professional paths -- including working as an associate broker on Wall Street and cofounding an energy drink company. Troubled by the greed and waste he witnessed in these fields, Ford was inspired to create Forest Founders, a company that seeks to align nature with capitalism and help both businesses and consumers become carbon accountable. Ep 140: Qigong and healing with Matthew Wood
Matthew Wood is the Founder and Chief Instructor at Shaolin Qigong Hampshire in the UK. In this episode, you'll learn about Qigoing and we'll step through a beautiful setup for a Qigong practice - including smiling from your heart (my favorite moment to moment practice these days!). Matthew and I have known each other for several years. We were part of a small and powerful mastermind group at one point, collectively guiding each other towards big life dreams. We've shared energy practices while each following those sparks leading us to our unique joy and purpose. It sounds a little cliche - joy and purpose - but when you find those threads and follow them, it is truly joy along the way and a deep sense of purpose takes birth. Matthew wows me with his three random facts - things I didn't know after this long! And now...off to research pantomimes! Matthew's Bio: Matthew works with individuals and groups to transform their energy so they can live fuller, happier lives. He has a long-held fascination with energy and the mind-energy-body connection. He is currently deep in the rabbit hole, experiencing how energy can transform life at all levels, whether physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. Now a transformational energy healer and coach, Matthew offers energy training and healing individually and in combination to shift and transform stuck energy and outgrown patterns and create positive results. Appointed Shaolin Cosmos Qigong Instructor by Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit in 2018, Matthew now provides Shaolin Qigong training and Qigong Therapy in the UK. Qigong is an extraordinary energy art that restores the body's own innate self-healing ability to create health and vitality, builds more energy, fosters longevity, provides emotional resilience, a clear mind and facilitates peak performance. You can reach Matthew in the UK for Shaolin Cosmos Qigong training and Qigong Therapy, and worldwide via Skype on in-person for private transformational coaching and energy healing with Thetahealing® and Reiki. Ep 126: Living vibrantly with Kristen
The Great Cycle Challenge Series Kristen Plotner has an amazing story as a cancer survivor pouring her energy into raising money for children's cancer research and hopefully putting an end to this all together. She's riding hard this June with her husband at her side and her fur family back home cheering her on! The beauty of this story is how authentically she shares the depth of who she is - her vibrant personality, her passions, her love and her determination to live from a place of joy and hope. This one - it gave me goosebumps even the second time around. Donate to Kristen's fundraising effort: https://greatcyclechallenge.com/Riders/KristenPlotner

Ep 125.1: Christine the singer
I'm not sure if it's because she was my first or because she's become a soulmate kind of friend to me since we recorded this episode back in the summer of 2016, but I know this: I love her and I love her story. A trip to the Isle of Man is still on my short bucket list (there's a short one and a really, really, really long one). I want to see the places she describes first hand and walk the forest with her while she sings. In this episode, Christine talks about how she knew singing was her calling from an early age and that has never changed. Knowing her now, the way I do, her voice and her music are her gifts to the world. Her spirit is lit from within and whether you feel it through a song on Spotify, a performance on stage or sitting with her having a conversation, it is UNDENIABLE. Be sure to follow Christine and if you're ever where she's performing...GO!!! And bring me!!! Please?! Ep 124: Ultra running & body positivity with Latoya
Latoya Shauntay Snell first hit the spotlight after being heckled at the 2017 New York marathon. Her current platform focuses on body positivity in the realm of athleticism. I found her through a simple Huff Post feed in Instagram and instantly knew I had to learn more! During our conversation, we peel back a few layers, to discover she's lived seemingly many lives, or at least worn many hats already. From social work to chef to blogger, photographer, painter and more, Latoya clearly has the feel of a modern renaissance woman. What I learned during our conversation was straight talk about her experience throughout all of these roles and how each step led her here, ready to shine as a role model for anyone who's simply trying to live their best life without being judged by others for not fitting into a certain box. This episode kept coming back to me, thinking about my own place in this experience. Be sure to swing over to Glistening Particles on Facebook or Instagram and continue the conversation! Ep 122: Life with Jesse the hiker
Jesse Cody shares the moment when he stood among more than 50 family and friends at his 40th birthday party and realized something was wrong. This moment of truth led him down a path both figuratively and literally as he stepped onto the Appalachian Trail in March of 2015 and never looked back. His story is one we can all relate to where life kind of hits us right in the face and one we often aspire to as he took a giant leap of change. He's since hiked more than 5,000 miles and launched a movement called 'Hike the Good Hike' to inspire others to seek movement, especially in nature. Needless to say, I loved every minute of this conversation. And I'm aching to get out and hike. Thank you Jesse!!!
