Is a business plan really the answer to your success? Jay has been a long-time follower of Vic Edwards, who runs his own IT company. One of the reasons for Vic’s success is down to his honest content and humble attitude, so much so that he feels uncomfortable with the title as managing director. For him, a title is just a title. When Vic was made redundant, he had the option to work for someone else, or set up on his own. And that’s what he did. When he set out on his business, it was normal to fill in a business plan and complete lots of paperwork, he decided against that. You can spend months on a business plan, but then something like Covid comes along and your plan goes out the window. Instead, he listed 10 things for his business plan.
