Girl Talk in Hell
Girl Talk in Hell
Jenny Hawkins and Madison Hohl
Are you the friend that makes the most fucked-up jokes? Do you ever feel judged for your ~unique~ coping mechanisms? Are you sick of tip-toeing around the topic of your trauma? Most importantly- are you ready to let loose and heal with us in our own weird way? Welcome home. Jenny Hawkins and Madison Hohl are two artists and close friends in their early 20’s who have open and judgment-free conversations about sexual assault, personal healing journeys, and navigations of a life that is, quite frankly, hell sometimes. Girl Talk in Hell embraces the shitstorm of feelings that comes with the daily pain of being a woman in a world embedded in rape-culture. The open conversation aims to take back the power and place it in the hands of the woman to manage her struggles in whatever way works best for her. This is hell, so let’s talk about it.
Welcome Home
Sexual assault has affected all of us- whether we know it or not. In the first episode of Girl Talk in Hell, Jenny and Madison introduce themselves and share their stories of their first experiences with assault, where they're at now, and where to go from here. Jenny gets into her post-trauma anger (imagine a blonde girl in cowboy boots screaming at a bouncer) and Madison shares her opinion on comparison and her experience with imposter syndrome. With open, judgment-free conversation and laughter (this episode is the tip of the iceberg for the dark humor on this show), they work on coming to terms with their pain and finding new ways to feel happy and safe in their worlds- hopefully helping you to feel happier and safer in yours.
