I have been spoiled by having this show as my first experience in listening to podcasts. Nothing else I have found has been as funny, creepy, and entertaining as Jamie and Michael’s banter and storytelling. I’ve finally caught up with the show and greatly miss their presence. If you like well researched tales with hosts that don’t take themselves so seriously, and if you want to feel like you’re visiting with old friends, then this is the podcast for you.

Their are two things I love to explore; anime and the paranormal. This show is surprising mix of both with two great VA’s known for their work in anime telling ghost stories and inviting their other VA friends on to help them occasionally. I’m only three episodes in and I am ecstatic at the amount of episodes left to explore🙏🏼 but I’m bout to slide a little 💰 to their Patreon to let them know we need more ghoul intentions.

I was already a big fan of Tatum before finding this podcast but I’m so glad that I found it. It’s such a good listen and I love it. You can really tell that Jamie and Michael are really friends and it’s so much fun to listen to their banter.

Sad, strange little podcast. Sneering commentary, shallow research and ill-formed opinions make for a boring mess.

LOVE the podcast! Jamie and Michael are hilarious and they put so much work into researching the stories. Got the whole family listening to it!

1000ft overview. At their best, it is an escape to a land of mystery, magic and supernatural wonder. At their worst it is a tangent story of how “most men” are evil monsters, and everyone else is better. Along with those are their politics that instead of promoting better ideas seems to focus on bad mouthing others or viewpoints that they disagree with. A little more in depth. The ghosticals(what they call their short story episodes) truly highlight their skill and background as voice actors. While containing the same pitfalls as listed above when they get into tangent. The short stories are some of the best quality they. The Ghoul Intentions main episodes that contain more specific topics and swap stories from both the hosts are decent. Though they admit a lot of their material has been covered by others, their banter is pretty entertaining and really the main reason to listen to their telling of these stories. They did end up properly branding their history focused episodes Histerrory, and they do look into some of these stories themselves to try and find the origins and have a “well actually” bit for some of the stories that either have inflated, exaggerated or purely monetized origins or sometimes just missing information origins that should lead one to doubt the stories. Overall, if you agree with their politics and sometimes hate. Then this is for you. Otherwise, the host are nice people for sure, but this does show a different side of them if you only knew them through their professional roles. This podcast has changed my view on the hosts professional carriers. I can say I like Michael Tatum more after listening to the podcast.

I love Ghoul Intentions! I’m a huge fan of J. Michael Tatum & Jamie Marchi from their work in anime, so I was excited to hear they had a podcast. Their chemistry is amazing and I love listening to their ghost stories and hisTERRORy stories. I love listening to a new episode not knowing whether I’m gonna be creeped the hell out or laugh my ass off - or both! Keep up the great work, and I’m eager to listen to more episodes! I am a huge fan of J Michael Tatum. Not usually into ghost stories but Michael and Jamie make them sounds really good and scary I get goosebumps on some of them. I love that they go into the history of the stories they are telling along with the stories of the hauntings. Amazing job by both of them

My wife and I love ghost story’s so this is amazing! I didn’t know this show existed until they taped a podcast at The My Hero Convention in Irving. Looking forward to listening to more! (P.S. I also told my brother about the show and he is going to try it out too on Spotify)

I'm so glad I found this podcast! I used to be an avid watcher of Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures back in the day but after awhile the lack oh HisTerrory really got me down. So, I was super excited to learn a lot of really well researched ghost facts while listening to Jamie and Michael!!! You both are wonderful!!!

I absolutely adore listening to their banter on the podcast. I have never realized how much I love Ghost stories until this podcast!! They are excellent storytellers as well as VA, I’m so glad I get to enjoy their voices more!! Keep it up guys!!

I’ve never really been one to like podcasts but I LOVE this one. It’s great, I love listening to it and this is the only podcast I keep up with. I really hope it goes on for a long time because I just can’t get enough!

Great stories, great research, great banter and despite the theme of this podcast I find it oddly soothing.

Initially I was drawn to Ghoul Intentions solely because of the hosts (Jamie Marchi and J. Michael Tatum). However, what sold me immediately was their passion and their banter between stories. With both of them being fantastic Voice Actor’s I had extremely high expectations for the story telling segments and have yet to be disappointed in a single one! As the podcast has grown they’ve introduced a history (or HisTERRORy) segment each episode that goes over in detail a location/object/etc that has a dark past or a ghostly present. Even if you don’t like ghost stories and just want a fun and engaging history lesson this podcast is for you. I don’t want to make this review too bulky so while I could go on I’ll finish with this: Thank you Jamie and Michael for making a podcast that is not just interesting, but genuine and intimate. Cheers to many more Mule’s and Ghouls!

If you grew up with a love for ghost stories, then Ghoul Intentions should be in your subscriptions list. Hosts Jamie Marchi and J. Michael Tatum bring their talents as performers and breathe life(or death...?) into each story they share. The tales they choose to present each week are metiuclously researched, with wonderful details that shed often shed light not only on the ghost stories themselves, but the times they were created in. What really sets this podcast apart, however, are the listener submitted stories and the format. The wonderful chemistry between the two and casual nature of the discussion makes each episode feel like you're sitting at the table with them, trading in the campfire and smores for a Moscow mule. Give it a listen, you won't regret it!

Having been a fan of "That Anime Show" it's nice to have a podcast like this again. The episodes are really interesting. Especially when they do the deep dives into the history of the places they talk about.

There was a void in my life after That Anime Show went away. So I was VERY excited to see Micheal doing another podcast! He and Jamie together is beyond entertaining! They have such great chemistry. Not only do I love the amazing personal and historical stories, but I admire that the hosts truly love what they're doing and really reward their listeners. Learning and laughing a lot! CHEERS!

I was interested in this podcast when it first came out being a fan of both Michael and Jamie, I haven’t been disappointed AT ALL. I love the stories and discussions happening, the guests have been amazing. I’ve always wondered how other people view the paranormal, it’s so interesting to hear the family stories from Jamie and Michael; I’ve also learned a lot of history from this podcast. It’s an all-around great(and spooky) podcast!

This is great if you want to laugh out loud at work and then have to explain to your coworkers that your listening to a podcast about ghosts and death. Seriously though, I love all things paranormal and I really appreciate the dynamic of Jaime and Michael.

I love Michael and Jamie for their voiceover work, so I was really eager to listen to this podcast. The two of them together are wonderful, very humorous and light hearted which is the perfect balance to the spooky stories. I can go to sleep without being terrified, because the podcast is spooky but not TOO spooky. It mixes their own personal stories with first-hand accounts of reader submissions as well as spooky history and urban legends. Plus, their experience in voice over makes for excellent storytelling. All in all it’s a fantastic podcast, I always learn something new and I walk away just a little but spooked.

I love listening to this podcast. It is so interesting to hear these ghost stories. It’s creepy, yet interesting. I love listening to these stories. Definitely check it out if you want to hear some creepy and dark stories read by some amazing people.

I cannot get enough of this podcast! The storytelling is great, voices are amazing, and every week they bring us something great. You should really consider listening to this podcast if you enjoy scary stories and scary history lessons. Very highly recommend.

From the first episodes where the two read chilling stories and talked about similar experiences, to the more recent editions of His-terror-y lessons, this is one of the best podcasts. Jamie and Michael are fantastic story tellers, as well as hilarious. It’s a good blend of spooky stories, funny banter, and some interesting education. This is one of the only podcasts that I listen to every week and will continue to do so.

I’m a big fan of Tatum’s voice work, so I had to check this out! I’ve been listening since the beginning and seeing all the progress and changes has been very exciting, I especially love that they combine people’s personal stories, with author’s works, as well as their own stories and the new histerrory segments! Seriously, learning about history and the true tales from the paranormal world has to be something I didn’t know I needed but I love and enjoy. If you’re checking it out, you should definitely follow their social medias, and look forward to merch!

I always listen to this podcast while I’m at work and it’s not uncommon for me to relisten to old episodes. I always look forward to the next time an episode comes out and the gaps between feel so long. If your looking for a well thought out podcast this is it!!!

I never expected to love a podcast about ghosts and haunting so much but Michael and Jamie paint such rich pictures of real life ghost stories from all around (between sips of Moscow Mules). Their sense of humor is irreverent and will have you giggling even as they detail grisly and terrifying encounters.

I love how animated and engaging Jamie and Michael are over the podcast! The content has always been super interesting and the way the weaving stories in with personal moments makes you feel like you’re just listening to a couple of friends telling spooky tales!!! ^__^

I’m a big of both Jamie and Michael’s work as voice actors for anime (more so with Jamie, but Michael is awesome with what he does just the same). And when I heard they were doing a podcast about ghost stories and hauntings, I gave their podcast a shot, and been hooked ever since. I didn’t know a whole lot about ghosts, how something can become haunted, or in general paranormal activity. But when they introduced the thing called histerrory (history and terror in one word), it made it all the more interesting. Their Twitch streams are fun hangouts, too. So if Jamie and Michael, see this review, here’s what I want to tell them- You’re podcast is as what the review title says a ghoulish delight! Can’t wait for the next episode!

Two already known for their voice work bring you both user submitted stories and their own researched work on tales more well known, mixing them with a perfect blend of ability, humor, and a sincere passion for the subject.

Not only did I finish listening to one episode on my drive into a rehearsal at an unfamiliar theater in downtown Seattle, but when I got to the theater it was dark, no lights on, I had to weave my way inside an unfamiliar place after finding a small work light. I sat in the semi dark checking emails waiting for the group and started hearing scrapings above in the catwalk- I knew no one was there since the only other person was the first to arrive as I had an had unlocked the door for me. I was definately too spooked out after the ghost stories I just heard to sit there or check it out. I waited in the more lit lobby... Thanks for giving me goose bumps!

Jamie and Michael are exceptional story tellers! They know when to keep it light and funny, and when to turn up the creepy.

I have been a fan of Michael and Jamie for a few years now, and also as a fan of generally spooky things, I was beyond excited for this podcast to begin. Right off the bat, I was captivated by the very nature of the podcast. Both hosts are talented storytellers, and the commentary on the stories is intelligent, well-thought out, and just generally interesting. I am sure that I will be following this podcast for as long as it is around!

I have been a fan of Jamie and Michael's voice acting and script adapting for several years, and this podcast is a powerful showing of their talents in a supernatural environment. I come for the storytelling and stay for the fun and insightful discussions after each account. I always come away from the podcast too terrified too sleep. Their total suspension of disbelief is a welcome and refreshing take on the stories that I truly appreciate. I cannot recommend this podcast enough to people who like ghost stories, skeptic or believer.

Being a fan of Michael and Jamie from their work in various anime performances, I was excited to hear about and support their new endeavor in storytelling. I also love podcasts, so getting to hear them in this medium is also a treat. The hosts have great chemistry, and they are both very knowledgeable in this particular subject matter, so listening to their banter and ghost stories is very enjoyable. The audio quality is clean and clear, and the background music is also a nice touch to add to the atmosphere, so overall great audio quality. I look forward to future episodes and stories from Jamie and Michael!
