Here on the GenerationV:Teen-Cast, we speak what is reality. We speak truth in volumes. We speak for those that don’t speak, we speak for those that can’t speak. So come along as we peer into our future. “We speak not only to tell other people what we think, but to tell ourselves what we think. Speech is a part of thought.” ― Oliver Sacks, Seeing Voices

Cat-Calling
Cat-Calling....hmmmm what exactly is "Cat-Calling"? Well let's ask google. After performing a quick google search this is what I got:  1: a loud or raucous cry made especially to express disapproval (as at a sports event)  Even Winslow, who led the league in catches for the second straight year, was hearing catcalls.— Rick Reilly 2: a loud, sexually suggestive call or comment directed at someone publicly (as on the street)… every single time I go running in a public place without my male running partner, I am the target of catcalls.— Natalie DeBlasio Per: The Merriam-Webster Dictionary Cat Calling Rude sexual remarks made by men passing women on the street. Usually “cat calls” are about the woman’s body as a whole or a certain feature. “Damn girl that ass looks fine”-Guy on the street “Ugh, I’m so tired of cat calling!” -Woman the guy yelled at Per: The Urban Dictionary  Now that we have an idea of what it is, can we stop doing it now? P.S. if you didn't know cat-calling is a form of street harassment and no one should be subject to harassment especially from point A to point B.  --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/amard-adderley/message

Samsung Vs. Apple
Join me in studio as we talk a bit about the differences between Samsung and Apple. Warmest greetings of this festive season and best wishes for happiness this New Year.  Wear a mask. Save lives. Wear a face cover Wash your hands Keep a safe distance To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, everyone should: Clean your hands often, either with soap and water for 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Put distance between yourself and other people (at least 6 feet). Cover your mouth and nose with a mask when around others. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces daily. CDC recommends that people wear masks in public settings and when around people outside of their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Masks may help prevent people who have COVID-19 from spreading the virus to others. Self care If you have possible or confirmed COVID-19: Stay home except to get medical care. Monitor your symptoms carefully. If your symptoms get worse, call your healthcare provider immediately. Get rest and stay hydrated. Take over-the-counter medicines, such as acetaminophen, to help you feel better. If you have a medical appointment, notify your healthcare provider ahead of time that you have or may have COVID-19. Stay in a specific room and away from other people in your home. If possible, use a separate bathroom. If you must be around others, wear a mask. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/amard-adderley/message

S.H.*.T #2
Join me today in studio with my good friends Dencil and Raven as we break down and analyze Mr. Dencil’s public statement that he made. I promise you it will be a good listen as anytime we catch up it with one another it is always a good time. “Wear a mask. Save lives. Wear a mask Clean your hands Keep a safe distance To prevent the spread of COVID-19: Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub. Maintain a safe distance from anyone who is coughing or sneezing. Wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible. Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth. Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention. Calling in advance allows your healthcare provider to quickly direct you to the right health facility. This protects you, and prevents the spread of viruses and other infections. Masks Masks can help prevent the spread of the virus from the person wearing the mask to others. Masks alone do not protect against COVID-19, and should be combined with physical distancing and hand hygiene. Follow the advice provided by your local health authority. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/amard-adderley/message

Insecurities
Insecurity is a feeling of uncertainty, a lack of confidence or anxiety about yourself. Put aside your insecurities and start acting like the smart, capable person you are! But soon you will make friends and forget about your insecurities. It can also describe the state of being open to danger or threat. A person who is insecure lacks confidence in his or her own value, and one or more of his or her capabilities, lacks trust in himself or herself or others, or has fears that a present positive state is temporary, and will let him or her down and cause him or her loss or distress by "going wrong" in the future.  To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, everyone should: Clean your hands often, either with soap and water for 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Put distance between yourself and other people (at least 6 feet). Cover your mouth and nose with a mask when around others. Cheating Isn't Cool :(
Cheating is cheating. Cheating is breaking the rules that you and your partner have set for each other. And it doesn't matter if you and your partner haven't specifically stated and set every single rule out there – when you form a bond with someone, there is a unique expectation between the two of you. Don't allow people to use you and mistreat you, as you shouldn't use and mistreat people. Cheating isn't cool!!  To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, everyone should: Clean your hands often, either with soap and water for 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. The New Norm
Wear a mask. Save lives. Wear a face cover. Wash your hands. Keep a safe distance. In life we constantly change and the Coronavirus has been on of the largest changes that the entire world had, and still has to adapt to. Change, alter both mean to make a difference in the state or condition of a thing or to substitute another state or condition. To change is to make a material difference so that the thing is distinctly different from what it was: to change one's opinion. Regardless of the position that we all may be in, this current global pandemic shows that the world will continue to move on without us. Relationships: What's love in today's society
Wear a mask. Save lives. Wear a face cover. Wash your hands. Keep a safe distance. When we love someone we experience the same positive thoughts and experiences as when we like a person. But we also experience a deep sense of care and commitment towards that person. Being “in love” includes all the above but also involves feelings of sexual arousal and attraction. Love has various definitions. Ask someone and they will give you their own definition of love. Love is a variety of feelings, emotions, and attitude. For some love is more than just being interested physically in someone, it’s an emotional attachment. Love is more of a feeling that a person feels for another person. People often confuse love and lust. Love means to be deeply committed and connected to someone or something. The basic meaning of love is to feel more than liking towards someone. It is a bond that two people share. The ancient Greeks used seven words to define the different states of love we can experience: Storage: natural affection Philia: friendship Eros: sexual and erotica Agape: unconditional, divine love Ludus: flirting Pragma: committed, married love Philautia: self love Stay tuned for a more advanced discussion of each in the near future. Until then continue to be safe.  To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, everyone should: Clean your hands often, either with soap and water for 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. The true meaning of friendship
What is a friend, anyway? A friend is someone who understands you, and if they don’t, they try to. They want to know what you’re all about and what you need. A friend is somebody who is there for you when they can be, but also sets boundaries when they need to. Many things make someone a good friend, and the definition of what makes a true friendship differs from person to person. Join me and one of my very close friends as we discuss the possible quirks and such of a friendship.  --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/amard-adderley/message
