I’ve been listening for years. I rarely write reviews but as a victim advocate, I just wanted to say that it’s so important to have content creators take the time to educate themselves on the issues like domestic violence and why victims don’t leave and take the time to talk about it and educate their listeners. I so appreciate that these guys do this. True crime should be about education and action, not entertainment.

I really enjoy the podcast but the latest move to audible with no notification (found out when I suddenly got commercials even though I was a wondery subscriber) then putting some episodes behind an even higher level subscription on audible has be questioning what I'm supporting.

I’ve been a loyal Wondery+ subscriber for years. How is it that none of my favorite pods gave a heads up about this major change? Why is it that I had to go searching for GenY, when I noticed I was no longer subscribed? WHY. DID. I. PAY. YOU.

I don’t give out my 5 stars easily, but you guys have consistently earned it.

I love this podcast and look forward to each drop of a new episode. They are smart, real and have great energy. Thanks for doing what you do.

I love listening to Generation Why! Aaron and Justin are kind, justice-minded, fair hosts with honest opinions and logical perspectives. I enjoy their presentation of complicated stories and how they advocate for each victim. Great work!

If I had to hear Dateline or 20/20 referenced one more time I was going to “accidentally” break my phone. As I watch a LOT of true crime docs on streaming, these pod episodes are monotonous narratives of what I’ve already seen in living color, without the interrogation scenes and courtroom drama. I’d recommend Sword & Scale if you can tolerate the smarmy host. Onward I go…

This was so egregious! The poor mother should have called the FBI hotline, gone to a local news bureau for an investigation! OR - she should have gone to an abuse shelter. Thanks for reporting these important stories!

Many , Many years ago. When I didn’t understand what a podcast was?!? I look into this app downloaded & subscribed to this show. I was hooked it allow me to do a job, a project, a hobby. And complete the certain task at hands. I never looked back. II binge episodes after episode. To where I got into arguments of my wife I didn’t wanna come in the house. I would start another project get into another hobby lol 😂. Just keep on listening to the following episode or to go back to episodes that I had missed. That is how much I love y’all guys.. keep up the good work.!! ✌🏼

I’ve been listening for a few years now. I’ve really enjoyed the podcast and it’s part of my weekly routine.

I’ve listen to many podcasts over the years but this is the only one I still subscribe to.

Afroman lives just a very short drive from me! This is so cool! Love all of the episodes!!! Also the confidential informant was getting drug charges I believe and she was trying to get out of it and said that Afroman was kidnapping people and selling drugs so she wouldn’t get charges put on her, but they ended up charging her anyway

Incredibly frustrated as I only pay for wondery for this podcast and suddenly, without warning, it has ads without instructions other than to go to audible. I can’t figure out how to “subscribe” via audible. Hosts should really give a heads up about this.

My favorite true crime podcast. And I listen to a lot of them.

Honestly I enjoy Aaron and his take on the stories they cover. Justin, not so much. He’s arrogant and comes off as a law enforcement hater. So 3 stars because I enjoy Aaron.

Your podcast is extremely interesting. However, it would great if you stop saying “um, and uh, and um” etc. it’s driving me crazy!

I used to love listening to this podcast but now at least 75% of the episodes are Wondery+ Only, and I’m not willing to scroll for five solid minutes to find one single episode that isn’t. I’ve heard Aaron and Justin say it’s not supposed to be like that, it’s not them, it’s Apple Podcasts or whatever, and that we should contact Apple Podcasts about it. But I cant find ANY way of doing that and I feel like it’s the show’s responsibility to fix any issues between them and Apple Podcasts. It’s a shame. I will miss them.

Hands-down the best out there. Aaron and Justin cover interesting cases with respect and insight. They’ve been at it for years so there is a rich library of episodes. Always at the top of my list each week!

They are so educated on the crimes. I listen to most episodes several times. For those who have any noise sensitivity issues, they are great! No outside noise! Definitely my all time favorite podcast!

genuinely my favorite true crime podcast. they cover such a cool variety of cases and are always so incredibly respectful and insightful in their commentary.

Always enjoy listening to their purposeful and methodical approach to cases. I appreciate how I learn new details even to well covered cases. Long time listener and highly recommend.

They did the rare two parter and rather than spread it over two weeks released part two midweek, how thoughtful I always put in our fans first. The topics are excellent, they never talk down to the audience and don’t pour us with their personal lives.

Love these guys! Calming voices that are great for story telling. Definitely in my top 3 True Crime pods.

I’ve been listening for quite awhile, and always appreciate the storytelling in each episode. I also like getting both perspectives. Justin and Aaron also speak out and stand with women a lot, which is always refreshing to hear men rallying for our safety.

I like the podcast. Recently you were defensive about someone’s comments on lack of personal chit chat…it’s fine that you don’t do that. But why do you have to make fun of others??? Ignore the trolls, you have a long running, popular podcast. I also like to listen to the chit chatters!

Just talk to a long islander. There could never be a sighting of a truck because there is a ton of unoccupied coast line. 90% of long islanders believe it was shot down. (Btw check our cost of living million dollar houses) Talk to them. For the first time I am disappointed In Your coverage. I am a listener since you started and also your other shows without each other. Every long islander believes it was terrorism and it was shot down. You don’t live here stop speaking so arrogantly and laughing like you know better. Very disappointing. I know what I saw!!!! Good luck in life. Btw it was a test run for 911.

Long time listener. Everything I want in a true crime podcast.

One of my favorite things about your show is you two typically let the case speak for itself and do not push your opinions on the listeners. But what happened on the Mary Winkler episode?? From the start it’s like your wives are in the podcast booth and you two are trying to impress them with your wokeness.. not only do you choose sides but you contradict yourself a few times in the ep. “Her dad mortgage his property & got her out on $75k bond” then later in the ep “she spent nearly the entire time before trial in jail”. Just imagine if the husband had lost the family money in a Nigerian prince scam, didn’t want to deal with it, and shot the wife while she slept, then hit the road and when faced with questions doesn’t deny or mention abuse. ANY jury would fry him.

The only True Crime podcast he listens to. No joke. WE LOVE YOU GUYS!

I appreciate the thoughtful perspectives presented in Generation Why. Aaron and Justin do a great job of presenting complex cases, most of which have a twist that really makes one consider our justice system. They talk about all the angles and I appreciate that the show is not about sensationalism of true crime. They’re compassionate towards the victims while exploring investigations and how these cases move through the justice system. Always a good listen.

It’s a hit or miss with me. Hosts are a bit too snarky & act like know it alls. Definitely a lib lean & a bit too woke at times. When I have nothing else to listen to, I give it a listen & cherry pick cases

Honestly love this podcast so much! The hosts are honest, down to earth and relatable. I love that they just get right to the point of the episode and don’t waste a bunch of time with mindless chit chat. 😂 I look forward to the release of every new episode. Do yourself a favor and add Gen Why to your podcast rotation. 🙂

Used to enjoy the show until the guys clearly became more anti-police and prosecution. Uninformed opinions from hosts without a legal or police background. Watching episodes of Dateline does not make you qualified.
