“Which side are you on” will be playing in your head all day long
This is a fantastic podcast. I started listening after an environmentalist I follow put in a plug for it. I didn’t truly understand what the Green New Deal consisted of, let alone it’s origins. I have to admit hearing The Sunrise Movement and AOC speak in the first episode was largely moving/emotional for me as I’ve been a part of trying to implement more green practices/sustainability in the South (and have faced tons of pushback). There’s something about a grassroots movement and seeing people who are truly passionate about changing such a pressing issue that is incredibly inspiring. I’ve gained a new perspective on the individual consumer’s role in mitigating climate change. I like the phrase “we can’t metal straw our way out of this,” and this podcast does a great job of explaining large corporation’s stronghold over climate change and how the pressure to change needs to be put on them at a legislative level. Whoever wrote the 1 star review seems like a climate denier, to say you became “less intelligent” from listening is actually a laughable statement. That person must not understand history or care to grasp the reality of the climate disaster we’re quickly approaching. Thank you all at Generation GND for this amazing podcast!!

Boring, lies, unaccountable, hatefilled
The host is just flat out boring. The information often survives only on lies and misinformation. Even reached out via social media to ask why they would allow a blatant lie go though and got no response, although the host often responds on social media. Gave the show a listen for 6 months and I’ve listened to every episode from the beginning until July 2021. I just can’t anymore. Too much negativity and lies.

Exceptional glimpse into the heart of one of the most important movements of our time.

The 1-Star Trolls Haven’t Listened…
…or even read the title of the podcast. The show is less about the specifics of a green new deal and what that would be as a policy proposal, and more about the young activists who’ve made environmental justice their top issue and helped radically redefine the conversation around climate change.

Hopeful, grounded, and well produced
Fantastic reporting on the voices driving the push for a green new deal as well as in-depth exploration of the policies themselves. I’ve been recommending this to all my friends and family. Btw, if you notice how extreme the negative ratings are of this you can reasonably conclude that they are climate science deniers rather than critics of the reporting or production

So informative!
Great content and reporting.

Good Overall
Very informative, though I would like to see the format move a little more away from socially-oriented conversations exploring historical impacts and identity issues, and more toward scientific data and practical solutions.

Where is the 0 stars
This podcast is so unprofessional, I literally have become less intelligent now thanks to the people who share their views on this garbage can of a podcast.

great
The trolls don’t seem to have, like, the capability to write something with proper grammar. I think this is important

But why ????? 😣😣😣😖😟😖
The green new deal doesn’t even cover any environmental issues but it’s all a bunch of childish socialist political views that AOC wants to push get her out of office already stupids!!!!

Important, relevant, and well-produced
This podcast covers a wide range of topics from health, energy independence, personal anecdotes, the origins of the movement, and so much more. I challenge the people who squirm at the term “green new deal” to give it a listen from the National Security threat, and respiratory effects on our population. We came together as a nation during WW II, and I believe it is our patriotic duty to approach Climate Change in a similar way.

Pleasantly surprised
Informative and engaging storytelling! As I finished each episode I found myself really looking forward to the next one. I was surprised to learn so much about a topic I thought I was familiar with. Great job!

*WARNING* A greener future is on the horizon!
Whether you are on the fence / just trying to learn more about the possibilities of a sustainable future, all for the GND, or all against it. Whether you are a democrat or republican. Whether you are a Gen Z or a Baby Boomer. This podcast is both a good listen and a consolidation of the ideas surrounding a greener future and the political momentum to help get us there! Listen, and listen now! You won’t regret it!

Excellent First Season
I loved the first season. Informative and interesting. I especially liked the episode about Detroit. I’m extremely interested in hearing more about climate and frontline communities. Additionally, I think it’s important to expose the impact of factory farming on the environment and would like to hear more about how these three topics collide.

This is appalling.
This is appalling. Who is going to pay for this , AND, this is NOT based on science. Please listen to Ben Shapiro and Allie Beth Stuckey, Chad Prather, etc.

The Future of Climate Activism
I’m one of the old folks who have screwed up this planet, so I’m thankful that there’s a new generation of passionate activists who are focused on fixing the climate mess we’re facing!

Informative and timely
The green new deal was ridiculed the minute it was announced. I was about to skip this podcast when I thought to at least listen to what the kids have to say. I’m so glad I did. That they have smarts and courage to take on the biggest challenge to face our world gives me hope. Everyone needs to get behind them!

Good way to welcome new people into understanding these policies!
Get your mom, dad, siblings, aunts, uncles and your dog to listen to this. They make the policies easy to understand.

Absurd
They have no clue what they are talking about. Would not recommend to anyone who is intelligent.

This is all ridiculous. I won’t even go into detail. Use facts. Don’t rely on the media. I’m ashamed to be considered a millennial. I just can’t with all of this Bull$#!T. Get a new job.

This podcast is keeping me motivated...
And even optimistic about a clearer approach to achieving climate justice and addressing global warming. I have been following the Sunrise Movement for the past years so hearing directly from these youth give me hope and inspiration to stay focused on the work ahead. This podcast connects the dots for how different activists, advocates, educators, writers, and political workers are trying to make the Green New Deal a reality.

Powerful storytelling that captures a movement
This podcast is fantastic. I am a member of the Sunrise movement, and I learned a ton about the movement's history, the origins of the Green New Deal, and where we go from here. The podcast is well-organized and the stories are extremely compelling and personal.

Based and encouraging
This podcast gives me hope as a young person. Climate change is an existential threat, and it is treated as such here. These folks also commit to transparency, so that’s good too.
grainsplattswooshbuckleriniac
Great podcast!
Breaks down the Green New Deal -it’s origins, it’s aims, and it’s plan. Thank you!

Amazing
I love that there’s this podcast telling me how the green new deal movement is growing and making change that we desperately need.

Educational and informative
Although being aware of climate change, Jane Fonda’s book, “What Can I Do?”, has given me a genuine interest in this crisis.... which led me to listen to your podcast. Thank you for your activism on this topic and attempting to bring the scientific and political facts to the common citizen of this country... and the globe. The general media has become so tribal that it’s hard to listen to anymore. The stations make it impossible to trust anything they broadcast and seems to be nothing more than political propaganda..... so, the reason I listen to your podcast.

Engaging and hopeful!
As a 30-something who is concerned with cliMate change, but not always sure what to do to make an impact, this show was a great lesson in how individuals can come together to create a movement for change.

To see what’s in the Green New Deal, look up the 110 page report titled: BIDEN-SANDERS UNITY TASK FORCE RECOMMENDATIONS: COMBATING THE CLIMATE CRISIS AND PURSUING ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE. To the greenie zombies who are brain washed, if America’s CO2 emission has decreased drastically in recent years, why do you still blame America first? If Earth’s temperature is still going up despite that, what’s the next boogeyman your going to go full Alinsky on? That 110 page report is not sustainable and only economic illiterates would begin to think so. Maybe that is why you hold AOC in such high regard while the rest of the sane people in America rightfully disregard her for the folly she is.

GGND is the best climate change podcast out there
GGND cuts through all the fluff out there and explains why climate change is the spectacular problem our generation but also how the Sunrise movement can mobilize and unite politicians and voters together to create a systemic change in our country’s democracy. Very well thought out and masterfully crafted.

A great explanation of what we face and what's needed
This podcast is conversational and approachable, and includes conversations with long-time activists and from people who have seen their communities taken advantage of, and despoiled, by those who hide personal greed behind a rationale of "maximizing shareholder return." If you want to understand the aspirations laid out by the Green New Deal resolution, and what they would mean in practice, and why things like a federal jobs program are so central to the plan, then this podcast will fill you in. As a science educator (in a museum, not a classroom) it's truly heartening to think that the young people I teach are letting science guide their decisions.
