I thought I heard Tim say this podcast was no more. This makes me sad. I enjoy all the differnt games on here. The Kids on bikes game you guys did inspired me to join a game and start a podcast. I hope in the future there are more to come.

These beautiful, crazy people continue their quest of hilarity in this feed of random RPG madness. If you’ve caught up on “Greetings, Adventurers,” there’s no better place to get your daily-binge fill than here!

I’m an original GAPcaster but I just realized that random encounters wasn’t only for patreon this year! (I poor boy) I’ve burned through 6 years of podcasts in 3 months and can’t wait for more! R.I.P Duke Duke Silver

What do you do when you've caught up with Greetings, Adventurers? How do you scratch that "Actual Play Itch" that your roommate diagnosed? Look no further! Random Encounters has the cure! Meet some of your new favorite Geeklies and experience new TTRPGs on this great feed. They bring the laughs, and I think you'll find that the *real* treasure was the parasocial friends you made along the way.

I ALMOST CRIED WHEN I SAW SAILOR MOON AGAIN!!! I love the sailor moon cast and I needed all of this!!

Well, ya'll have done it again. You got me to sign into iTunes. I recently started listening to Random Encounters (been meaning to, but I always had an issue of deciding where to start. Decided to go with the order by 1st episode release chronologically on the dndpodcast wiki). I recently got done with the Shadowrun episodes (who knew Michael could be so bloodthirsty. Latigo was awesome.). Looking forward to catching up on the feed, but until then, I'll be in my bunk.

My names Mark, I just wanted to hear you read this review, have a great day. O also the podcast is pretty good.

Finally caught up on drunks n dragons/greetings adventurers and needed more Geekly in my life. Man listening to the current you on one show and young you on a different one is weeeeeeiiird but I like it

Good show to put on if you’re bored, lonely, or doing tedious tasks, it helps things go by at a much more fun pace.

Previous drunken rambling review removed due to embarassment. The show is entertaining.

Absolutely loving the Norhall feed and enjoyed Brute Force as well, can’t wait to get caught up on Norhall so I can start the others as weeeellllllll!!

I'm pretty sure I've stolen something from just about everything in this feed. Randomly need cat NPCs? You're covered. Random games to play during off weeks? Covered. Sailor Moon? You know they got you. Actual Cannibal Shia LeBeouf? Absolutely. Seriously as a DM I don't know what I'd do without this feed to steal from.

I work in a supermarket bakery and it’s been more than a little rough lately with the coronavirus rampant through Oregon. These lovely people help keep me sane in the mornings while I’m making donuts. They are a perfect distraction from the horrible day to day.

This collection of different podcast has a little something for everyone, from 5e DND campaigns, fate, sailor moon, and more. All the different groups bring their unique flair to the podcast but each one is a gem in its own right. The most current campaign is a Curse of Strahd campaign bring converted to Dungeon World which so far is amazing.

I like smelling stinky butts.

Listen, love and enjoy. You won’t regret it.

More fiasco and shadowrun please! Thrifty is goat and Bachmann is cool too.

Bring it back please. I need this. Just finished Secrets of Cats and it was hilarious killing Tim and Bachmann blowing everything up. Meow.

I found this feed due to the incessant ranting of Tim. I was all caught up on the main feed and decided to see what you guys had over here. I really enjoy the early episodes that mixed many different games and systems. I was glad to see that Brute Force and Wintercrest were able to get their own feeds. A quick shoutout to Mr. Lanning for being a wonderful DM for a couple different stories and for Josh to take the reigns and try to wrangle these wild cats. Keep putting out that content. Oh, when will we got some more one shots with Bachman playing?

I’ve been a listener for years and am always so excited to see an update on random encounters, every single co host creates wonderful, hilarious characters and the chemistry between everybody in each game is great! I’ve heard so many new games I would’ve never heard and each and every one has been wonderful, it’s inspired me to try new things 💖

Trying to finish main feed, but throw in an occasional Random Encounter. I like the variety, and finding out about different games.

I like it.

I had tried listening to the first episodes of Random Encounters a long time ago but didn’t stick with it. However, I decided to give it another shot a few weeks ago and skipped right to the DarkBlades and Norhall (and Firefly in Fate!!!). I love it and am hooked. I can’t wait to see what Josh does with Curse of Strahd. I’m even considering going back for Sailor Moon and some of the other Random Encounters.

Just met Matthew M. Morris at the board game table! Greetings from the blind guy! I love this podcast and I am very much looking forward to Josh as the Game Master! Keep up the good work!

Started listening to random encounters about a month ago. All caught up and waiting for dungeon world to start up! Keep the great content coming!

I'm ashamed to have waited so long to rate and review this podcast, as I have been listening and coming back for over two years now. These guys rejuvenated my love of Dungeons and Dragons in a big way and were also my gateway into listening to podcasts in general. The shenanigans they get up to have made me laugh time and time again. Keep up the great work.

I love Tim as the DM in Norhall, the sailor moon episodes were surprisingly great, I loved moon cops even though it seemed short lived. The darkblade episodes seemed like a blast from the past. Love it all, thank you for all you do and keep up the great work

Lots of one shots and side quests. All kinds of random encounters. Not into the story or game style? Move on or trudge through, it’s easy. Rotating DM/GM’s and player lineups helps keep a fresh feel, and the guest aren't too bad either. The long running arcs and stories that evolve here, are worth the wait.

Don’t read this on the air but I love this podcast

I love this podcast. I am currently on episode 62 so I am a little behind but I am catching up very quickly. I do not know if this has been addressed yet but when Bek(spelling?) did not use her ice bow on the pirate wearBoar? I though fingers gave that to her right before they tried to recuse Zin from the prison. Overall this is the only one I have listened to and I love it, it makes me wish I had people I could play D&D with.

Great cast led by great GMs. An excellent supplement to your Geekly podcast feed(s) of choice. Support these awesome nerds! PS, Tim is a good baby and everybody loves him.

This is my second favorite podcast next to drunks & dragons. The stories taking place in Drunkeros are wonderful and the players are hilarious. Thank you for making me laugh and forget about my depression for an hour at a time. P.S. the cast of norhall are hands down the best. Smash is my hero.

I’ve been listening to Drunks and Dragons for years, but just started this podcast last week. I get it now. 7 Show me your penis, Mike Bachmann! 7777777777777777777777777777!

Hey folks, just here to tell you that Random Encounters is a top-tier, S-class, spin-off feed from the Drunks and Dragons main show. You fine people bring the energy every single episode of Norhall, whether you are shopping for outfits, killing sharks and pirates, having a tailer make you new outfits when you get back, picking out your outfits for your big dance, choosing your outfits for a beach day, or selecting an outfit from the rack for your bank heist. Also, the other shows on here are really fun, including Sailor Moon, the Cat heist, the Darkblades, and of course, the amazing introduction to Brute Force. Keep at it and thanks for supporting the Patreon and making this possible!

I love the experimental feeds, the regular feeds, it’s all good here. Give it a listen! Go, now, listen!

This show is like a butt. It’s a little stinky and a bit hairy, but I love it

I powered through the main feed in about three months, and started in on these episodes to fill the time at work. I’m finding out that I really like Tim, it’s just Harper I don’t like. Thrifty sounded so sad during Durance, but it still sounded like fun. Keep up the great content- loving it so far

Dungeons? Check! Dragons? Check! Enough teenaged drama to fill a show on the CW? Double check! Norhall is a lot of fun. Even though the cast bailed on the school (and town, and country?), the angst never stops. Smash Larson is my spirit animal.

Any time I run out of Drunks and dragons episodes to shove into my ear holes I jump right over here to Random Encounters to see if Tim and the crew have any more of that good good stuff to listen too! Thanks for the inspiration to start my/our own podcast! From Patrick / ProfessorPFM and all of us at Misfits Guide to Adventuring, keep up the amazing work!!

I did not want to write a review until I had caught up, for fear of accidentally reading spoilers amongst the other reviews. Well, I caught up, listened to a lot of the random encounters, and shared with many. I can’t wait to see how this arc goes and I’m super excited about the next one!

Wow! Norhall Academy for Adventurers and Heroes is so good and so fun! Listen now before it's too late!

Where to even begin? What do I even say? First, this feed opened my eyes to the incredible variety of awesome tabletop RPGs. The original feed got me obsessed with DnD but this opened the floodgates for me and now I can’t get enough! Of course the canonical side adventures in Drunkeros are all expansive and hilarious! All of the smaller games like Fiasco and such were awesome and informative. MonsterHearts was such a guilty pleasure and fantastically NSFW! Last but certainly NOT least, Sailor Moon is the necessity I didn’t know I was missing! Every entry in this feed oozes that Geekly spirit: laughs, friends around the table, and quality role play.

Hey Y’all Thanks for always picking me up with a giggle, when I’m lonely I can put this podcast on and feel like I’m in the room with friends. Y’all have made something special and I love you

When I finally got caught up with my favorite podcast Drunks and Dragons I was looking for more. Lo and behold I find the random encounters podcast DM'ed by Tim Lanning. This live play D&D game follows the main timeline loosely from Drunks and Dragons with an entertaining group of characters you don't want to miss.

Although I adore Norhall Academy, there is a lot of great and random stuff in this podcast. Most of it can make me laugh until I cry, even if I’m listening for the second or third time. I joined Twitch just so I could get more Norhall, I watch nothing else there.

During the Twitch stream of episode 59/60 of Norhall Academy, Matthew Morris said to give a five star rating and review. Yeah he was playing with a pocket knife, but I could tell by his kind eyes that it was just a goof so I wasn’t scared. Plus he lives in the internet so I was safe either way. I love the live stream on Twitch because you can chat with other fans and one time Nika @‘d to a comment of mine in the chat. I was so excited I threw up. It was awesome.

An awesome tale of these Meddling Kids from Norhall getting into all kinds of zany adventures. Will they be saving the town? Will they be murdering all of the town guard? Up to some sort of casino heist? Possibly even just out for some dog sausage because Smash Hungry. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll wonder why Tim hasn’t had them find a Blink Dog and a lime green wagon yet. No matter what you’ll enjoy the ride and good times will be had by all.

Thanks for the great content guys and gals. Hi 👋

Thanks to this show I got my old role playing friends back together after not having played for many years. I aspire to RP someday as well as this crew.
