Geekistry returns from a four month hiatus with new co-host Bryce Erwin from Taverncast. For new listeners we define what the show is about so that people aren't mistaking us for a knitting podcast.
We have a new segment called Geekiversary which we take a special release from the past and discuss what it meant to us over time. This show's Geekiversary is Aliens, released in July of 1986.
Another new segment is called The Ring where two classic topics clash. For our first battle we do the classic Star Trek vs. Star Wars. Who will win?
We tackle one of the biggest geek parent issues of our time: do you show your kids IV-VI first, or I-VI all the way through?

This Geekistry episode is brought to you by the phrase "technical difficulties". Please stand by while your beloved hosts try to discuss the announcement of the iPad2, their excitement about the next week's start of SXSW 2011, and what they currently think of e-book readers, all while performing such feats using exploding web cams, self-rewiring sound boards, malfunctioning software, and a few other interesting, albeit inconvenient, bits of mayhem.

After nearly a year of shows wherein Michael and Krissi talk about their love of all things "Apple," Geekistry welcomes special guest Zack Williamson (@z_williamson) to the show to discuss Microsoft and Windows 7 (and why they aren't all that bad, either!) In this monster of a show we also discuss current world events, social media, and games - and how they're all a part of our geekistry repertoire.
