What an amazing truth we’ll encounter today! As we step into Colossians chapter one today we are reminded that we have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and transferred to the Kingdom of Light! But even more amazing is the fact that the Lord Jesus willingly entered into the darkness of our sin, more than that, was even swallowed up by the darkness of our sin, in order to deliver us into the Kingdom of Light, both now and forevermore! Our Life in Christ sermon series in total, but especially today, will be a reminder that we have been “Delivered and Transferred” by our Loving Lord Jesus Himself!

We have all been given gifts, skills and abilities that are unique to ourselves and all of them are a gift from God. Psalm 139 says that God made us, knit us, and we are fearfully and wonderfully made. He designed everything about us and that includes the gifts and talents He has given us. These gifts and talents weren’t meant just so that we could serve our own purposes with them but so that we could serve others with them. Unfortunately, there are so many people who, for one reason or another, bury those talents and don’t put them to work for God’s Kingdom. How does God desire you to serve and bless others as you use…His gifts and talents?
