Found this podcast through another called Imaginary Worlds - James did a great job finding and producing different stories from different eras and corners of the gaming world. Will miss him and I hope Gameplay continues, but if not it was a wild ride while it lasted!

This is a really good podcast about video games. The episodes aren’t overly long, and the stories and writing is always impeccable. I can definitely recommend it.

Great podcast I love it as a gamer I highly recommend it

This podcast is excellent. I especially recommend it to people who love video games and their role in society/culture, but are a bit tired of the standard video game podcast format: 3-5 people talking about gaming news and their thoughts on what they’ve been playing. The stories told on Gameplay have honestly refreshed my love for gaming.

The production quality coming out of this podcast is out of this world and they also cover very cool gaming topics with interesting and unique people to interview. Doesn't get nearly enough recognition imo

Edit: WTH why are so many one star reviews “make more episodes” give it 5 AND say that- giving it a 1-star is just showing them that it’s not enough and then that leads to burnout, which leads to the end of this pod. Gameplay, ignore ‘em. The rate of episode releasing is amazing.

I love the podcast you can tell he really enjoys the podcast but I just wish he came out with more episodes faster.

i have really, really enjoyed every episode of this podcast. they dive into so many deep topics like gender identity and body image which you don’t usually hear in a podcast about video games. a fun and introspective listen!

Informative, well made podcast for lovers of games. Really great!!!

Presents history and information about specific topics in a not dry way. The host and guests are not obnoxious like in other game related podcast I’ve listened to, and is a great listen so far. It’s a shame this show got bombed by bad reviews after releasing the episode interviewing a transwoman. Come on people, it’s freaking 2020.

This is easily my new favorite podcast. I can’t wait to see where it goes and what stories they tell us next. If you like video games, you owe it to yourself to check out Gameplay. Well paced, well produced, easy to follow, and highly enjoyable.

This show is great. Especially love the episode “The Real You”.

This show isn’t like other gaming podcasts. It’s informative about issues that many of them won’t cover. I would happily recommend this show to all of my friends and have in fact done so because that’s how awesome this show is.

This really bring the complexity out of games as people who play tend to get stereotyped and when I heard this it really puts the emphasis on the importance of character creation and this gives a sense of an escape to people who play these games this is an amazing podcast would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes videogames or who is thinking about getting into videogames
