Very good review pod

A lot of it is a break down of GoT episodes. It's very interesting to me, the book reader and the show watcher. They make me laugh some of the time as well. I'll be listening to this for season 8 breakdowns. This is the BEST GoT Podcast!! 🤘😎🤘Check it out ⚔️🛡

Don’t pay attention to older reviews, these guys give the best in-depth knowledge on thrones episodes . Most other pods just summarize and react but these guys delve into theories and connections within the show constantly

I’ve been listening to this podcast, along with a few other GOT podcasts for a while now. This probably ranks 4th out of the 4. It’s definitely not as bad as the one where the hosts just keep laughing and retelling the same jokes and impressions over and over and over and over again. However, I agree with some of the other commenters that the host who hasn’t read the books can be a bit frustrating at times. And yes, it does seem that he hasn’t watched the episodes or didn’t really pay attention to the content. At this point, if he had only been watching the shows, he would be better at remembering the names and other key points. His perspectives are balanced by the often insightful comments from the book reader, though. I wish he would talk more. As for “nit picking”, I don’t agree. A type of fan exists that only wants fawning reviews of their favorite shows. If that’s the case create your own podcast or go live with the producers of the show. Those people are fanatics. I think critique is great. I don’t want to hear only good about the show, myself, or anything else, except my little niece. She’s pretty cute. If that’s what you want, there are shows like that. They mostly involve endless laughing, bad impersonations, and sound effects. Here’s the thing: I choose to believe that they are in earnest and trying to deliver a quality product. The issues that I (and others)have with the podcast can be easily remedied: just have the non book reader pay better Attention to the show or write the names down for characters before the show. Alternatively, have the book reader dominate the podcast. I’m not sure how long I’ll keep listening, as it is getting increasingly frustrating to listen to the show. Hopefully, they read their reviews. I really believe the show can get better if they want it to.

Smart, funny and insightful breakdown of Game of Thrones

I love this podcast!! 1. Excellent analysis. 2. Great voices with adorable Canadian accents. 3. Hosts are super nice and they responded to my question the same day I asked it. 4. Hope they continue the Season 1 re-watch because Apple podcasts doesn't carry their back episodes from way back when. Love you guys!!

I'm a casual watcher of Game of Thrones and looked for a podcast to fill in the gaps of things I missed. These guys do a great job of recapping each episode and explaining things that happened in each scene. Daniel's book knowledge really helps me understand the backstory or get some of the lore that makes the Game of Thrones world more interesting. Overall I really like it and look forward to watching the final season with them.

Daniel and Julian are always entertaining and very knowledgeable about Game of Thrones. I've listened to every episode and it gets better every season. Both hosts are very insightful, discuss interesting theories, and have a great sense of humor too. It feels like sitting down with friends and talking about the show. You can't go wrong with this Game of Thrones podcast. I'm planning to start watching Westworld too, partly so I can listen to the Tower of Babble breakdowns for it.

Just two dudes talking about each episode. This is an every week listen for me. They recap it in detail while adding in their own analysis. They add a bit of history as well - both real world history and ASOIF world history - that I particularly enjoy. Plus they're Canadian - so they got that goin' for 'em, eh?

I have enjoyed quite a few Game of Thrones themed podcasts and this one if my favorite. I really like listening to these guys discuss the what happens on each show. You can tell from their dialouge how much passion they have for GoT, which makes all the difference in my humble opinion. That's not to say that they speak about how much they love everything that happens in the show, sometimes just the opposite, but it's thier passion that makes me want to listen every week.

I tell everyone I know who watching GOT to listen to this podcast! This is the only one that really gets in depth in every episode! If you love Game of Thrones this is the podcast for you!

Love the witty banter between the two, and the types of analysis they bring to the table. I've been listening since season 5 and this is my favorite game of thrones podcasts!

There are so many GOT podcasts out there, its hard to pick which ones to listen to but Julian and Daniel do such a great job of breaking down the episodes and discussing theories and storylines. I particularly like having someone who read the books contributing that element to the show discussion! Definitely recommend.

Ignore the critics out there. People complain that they are too critical but this is a show that has raised the bar to a point that small probelms should be pointed out as well as the fact that there are not a lot of big problems with GOT. I enjoy how they not only talk about the things they liked in a scene but also what didn't work for them. I have started to watch with a much more discernable eye since I have started to listen to this podcast a couple years ago. I feel like I will need to start watching other shows that they talk about because the gap between seasons is goign to be so long. If you want a podcast that will tell you their opinions not just the facts of what hapened look no further.

If your looking for Reddit nerd level of GoT histories and lore this is not the place for you. These guys feel more like me and my friends hashing out everything throughout the week. Not to say they don't know their stuff, they definitely do. They can answer any question you throw at them (and have answered all of mine via email). Their opinions and reactions are more on par with "real world people" rather than professional celebrity moderators that scour the internet for the latest theories. Love what you do guys. Don't change

I like how they touch on all aspects of the episode, even smaller scenes the in the show. I especially like the discussions of who directed the episode, the score, etc - you don't find that on other podcasts.

If you love Thrones in any fashion, this show is a great place to hear two dudes who love it way more than you talk about the latest episodes, news, fan theories, and more. They're very diligent about not spoiling anything, which I can't say for other Thrones podcasts. I always look forward to hearing their thoughts following each episode and of all the Thrones podcasts I've listened to in the seven seasons that it's been on the air, this is the only one that's kept my interest and subscription. It's a truly valuable and entertaining show with two guys who are knowledgeable, opinionated, and a pleasure to listen to.

I really like listening to these guys. Sometimes simple is better. They don't need to make wacky forced jokes, they just talk about Game of Thrones. So many podcasts out there just sound like they're trying too hard to be funny. One seems to have book knowledge and the other does not(I think?) and they may not know every little detail about the books but they know enough. I really enjoy these guys and I will be sad when this shorter season is over. Keep up the good work, guys!

I really like this podcast, they put a good, CRITICAL input about the show. They're realistic, don't understand why people say they should only say good thing about the show. If there's something wrong, call them out. I appreciate it. And they put a great mix about the amount of input or background from the books.

Good takes and not annoying

The Wayne's World version of a GoT show review. The digressions (metallurgy), random speculation, and incessant whining about teleportation are the reasons to listen. Kind of like the review of directors and show-runners. Wish they could get some interviews with these folks. Keep-up the good work. As far as you know I tried to donate and failed.

These guys are fun and easy going. Always look forward to hearing their podcast every week after a new show. It's fun to hear the show-only and book and show perspectives bouncing off each other.

I tried way too many GoT podcasts and Julian and Dan are hands down the best. They have a great balance of fact, opinion, and speculation that makes the episodes fun and insightful. There are a few audio faux pas in the beginning, but the show has vastly improved and become much more professional sounding. I've listened through each episode twice so far. Once as they were released and again this past winter/spring to gear up for season 7 of the show. Highly recommened.

Very insightful. The hosts are down to earth. You can tell they are fans that love talking about the show and books. I listen after every episode to hear them talk about what I missed.

I listen to a few different casts about game of thrones and Tower of Babel is certainly one of the best. Always insightful and fun.

I started listening last year and is one of the few podcasts I listen to every week. Good breakdown and insight of each episode.

If you love Game of thrones you will love this podcast. Every Sunday I tune in for the pure pleasure that is GOT. Usually the rest of the week held a void waiting till the next episode, but this podcast gives me something else to look forward to. It will also take you deeper into the character stories and leave you with a better understanding of what's going down.

Great show! The hosts are cool, and they are Canadian so they say "aboot" haha! Plus they're nice on twitter. Fun to listen to when I feel like I have no game of thrones friends to talk to

One of the best GOT podcasts out there

You guys are awesome, by far my favorite game of thrones podcast, the only thing I would want to change is how many times you stop and talk about patreon, however I understand this is probably your first time doing patreon, all I ask for is that you do it once maybe at the beginning and never say it again.. especially in the middle of an episode it kind of breaks the immersion, other than that you're very knowledgeable and dan has great insight from reading the books! Keep it up guys :)

This is probably my favorite game of thrones podcast. The episodes are a good way to recap what you don't have time to rewatch. Sometimes I think the analysis can be a bit shallow, and I'd like to hear more theories (even if they're tinfoil), but all in all, I look forward to every new episode.

Only Game of Thrones Podcast i can listen to. The breakdown of the scenes is very good, they back up the points they make and create a good overall podcast. Been listening to them since they started it in season 3. There has been a huge progress and they are constantly getting better at what they do. Don’t listen to people that give a 1Star rating, these people don’t appreciate 2 guys that do this for fun and for the listeners in their free time. Of course it can’t compare to EW’s podcast in terms of insight and budget but i just prefer how these guys break it down. I personally really like how they go through the episode first scene by sceneand then they present their overall thoughts. Also as a result of a smaller audience their engagement with their listeners is great. This is my personal opinion and somewhat subjective, hope this is helpful. If you prefer a big scale podcast though, I’d suggest you give EW’s podcast with James Gibbered ( Legend ) a listen. Love the show, keep up the good work. Ben

I listen to a few GOT podcasts and I'm consistently drawn to this one. I enjoy the insight and recaps of each episode and the guys voices remind me of an NPR style show. Love the lord of the rings references and can definitely relate to these two and their nerdiness. Also enjoy their shoutouts to the people donating to keep the show on the air! Great job y'all, keep it up!

The Tower of Babble guys are able to provide valuable insight into the going ons in Westeros. Each week we are treated to very intricate and detailed breakdowns for each scene and I often find myself discovering minor things that I missed while watching. I would recommend this podcast to anyone who loves GoT and would like to take a deeper look at each episode. Keep up the good work guys!

Why is everyone dogging this podcast? I love that it is snarky and sometimes critical. It provides a great counterbalance to other podcasts. It is funny, thoughtful, and provides good insight. GoT does have flaws!! Keep up the good work guys, it's great listening.

The podcast is not bad, its an easy listen to. But STOP DRINKING WHILE YOU ALL TALK! It is honestly such an annoying sound, cringe worthy.
