Girls is hard to hear you with the new mics. Brooks voice fades out each sentence

this podcast is literally 35 minutes of ads, 20 minutes of actual content and the content is repetitive. what even is this?

Brooke gives such mean girl vibes. She’s so judgy is straight up rude most of the time. I also CANNOT hear her have the time. If you have something to say, SAY IT. I can’t with the mumbling, it’s like half the pod

It’s getting harder and harder to understand Brooke. She regularly drops off in the middle of her sentences and starts mumbling so the listener cannot hear. It is very frustrating. I am getting to the point of giving up on this show.

I’ve loved this pod for 4+ years but gals idk if it’s the new studio or what but the last couple episodes, maybe it’s the positioning of the mics but it’s like every sentence yall start the sound fades away mid sentence. It’s like listening to someone speak then randomly they start whispering and we miss half the content. It’s a little frustrating to listen to! Love yall tho hopefully it’s an easy fix 🫶

Love the pod sm!!! Just wanted to note that sometimes Brookes audio fades in and out in a single sentence and I feel like I cant hear what shes saying. Not sure if mic or other issue but j wanted to point that out so yall know!

I’ve been a listener since 2017. It was super relatable then, but for several years now I find myself just rolling my eyes every single time. Japan was my final straw. Listening to Brooke complain about Japan for 30 minutes is why Americans have the stereotype of being stupid. When they read their reviews, they only choose the bad ones so they can laugh at them. Maybe try to read your good ones to get people to keep coming back to listen? I don’t think listening to Brooke is helpful for young girls because she comes across as incredibly insecure. Not just comes across, but you can tell. Going back to not being relatable anymore—Danielle, already small, “came out” that she was on a GLP-1 and Brooke pretended like she was “so brave” for coming out. The both of you are terrible role models and incredibly out of touch. They are just clones. Influencer clones. They don’t even TRY to stick out anymore. Yawn.

Been a listener since 2020. Japan episode was my final straw. I have loved following them for years and now I will be a gal on the go and unsubscribing. I’m sure they will use this review in their next giggly episode reading their reviews but this podcast has gone so downhill.

This hurts me to write because I’ve been listening since they were in college and I love them both. But this podcast is so full of nothing? It’s comforting yes. I love hearing them talk but it’s like them catching up? I wish they’d talk more about vulnerable moments and things we actually have to go through. Let’s hear about how they face anxiety (and not sell me on betterhelp), how to get out and make friends in a new city, what they are struggling with or what their highlights are instead of just talking about catching up with each other? We are learning nothing? I think Brooke is an excellent “oversharer” which I love because she’s raw and real but Danielle is always going to nod and say yes and everything is great. It gets old :/ I know she’s just trying to be positive but at the same time we want her comforting advice! It’s obvious she’s successful so help us out girl! You have a plethora of good advice you’re missing out on!!

If it weren’t for Brooke, definitely wouldn’t listen, sadly. The maturity level between these two girls is SO different. I love watching you both on YouTube - but Brooke is miles ahead in maturity.

The listening experience is incredibly frustrating due to the inconsistent audio levels. One moment the hosts are speaking at a normal, conversational volume and the next they’re suddenly shouting into the microphone. It’s jarring and honestly pretty uncomfortable, especially when listening with earbuds. I constantly find myself adjusting the volume.

Ads every 5-10 mins is kinda crazy….

Super shallow girls with no real direction. The delete comments on their YouTube channel if they feel it will hurt their ratings.

Gals on the go is in my top 5 favorite shows, love y’all! Danielle is the sweetest person ever and deserves the world, that’s why I’m going to hold your hand when I say… that man does not like you. You should not have to ask him to make a reservation for Valentine’s Day and this is just one example of many! I understand more than anyone what it’s like to stay with someone out of fear of being alone and the attachment you’ve formed after so many years, but you deserve better and I hope you allow yourself to find that 🩷

The switch to dear media feels like a confirmation of values that I can’t relate to✌🏻

I’ve listened to this pod since its inception, but as of the last year or two, it’s completely fallen off for me. Their chemistry seems forced at this point, (which it’s ok to grow apart) but I’m not even convinced they’re still actual friends outside of this sometimes. They used to pick topics to dive into every week, and it actually felt like there was some structure to it (albeit loose structure), now it feels like I’m just eavesdropping on 2 people who grew apart catching up at a coffee shop. Don’t even get me started on the “spicy” episode, that may have been my last straw. They had a whole “rebrand” to appeal to a more adult audience, just for their episodes and content to feel more immature than it was while they were in college. Going after a ring and having a salary does not make your content automatically more mature, and the conversations have no depth to them. Mature audiences want depth!!! Gals, if you’re reading this, it’s ok to pursue something new if you aren’t enjoying this anymore! It seems like this has just become work for you, rather than something you both actively enjoy doing. The only people forcing you to continue to do this is you (I can’t speak for your management teams lol), but you’ve both grown up enough that nobody would be mad if you parted ways to pursue content that’s more true to you.

Don’t do drugs kids! Thanks for the honesty - but I really thought y’all would have more sense.

Are the gals out of touch? Yes. Do I still enjoy listening to this podcast ? Yes. The recent episodes have had me chuckling, especially Brooke’s commentary. This is the one podcast that I find myself consistently listening to. I prefer the episodes where it’s just the gals , not guests. Keep up the funny banter gals !

LOVE LOVE LOVE this podcast! Great mix of fun and light hearted but great occasional guests! You can tell it’s a genuine friendship! BUT with the rebrand I have one complaint- the intro music feels a little long….feels unnecessary and my mind is just like “get to it” thanks gals!

I’ve been listening to the gals since the start in college and I love it. Gets me through long walks and long drives. With everything going on in the world it’s nice to be able to detach. I recommend if you like a care free listen and everything girly and fun. ♥️

Why do they have podcast microphones if they constantly whisper. I’m constantly turning up and down the volume depending on when they whisper and don’t talk into the microphone or turn it down because their ads are so loud…. #ozempic

I truly love listening to the Gals every Wednesday morning as I’m heading into the office! I feel like I’m catching up with friends, hearing about things they’ve been loving, and staying up-to-date with all things pop culture/trendy. It’s the perfect time to unwind and listen to a girl chat when sometimes it can be hard to meet in person with your friends during the week!

So fun & relaxing to listen to. As a medical student I feel like my brain is constantly thinking about school & studying but this podcast helps me turn off my brain in a good way- it’s a comfort listen & instantly puts me in a great mood!

I have been listening to the gals since they started their podcast 7 years ago in college!! I have never missed an episode since. Danielle and Brooke have gotten me through some very tough times over the years by always making me laugh and reminding me of the good things in life. If you haven’t subscribed to their individual YouTube channels, you MUST do that as well. You won’t regret it, they are two of the most genuine creators out there. Their live shows are also fantastic, run to buy tickets the next time they announce a tour just trust me! I could go on and on about these two and I hope one day I can meet them and tell them in person how much they’ve impacted my life. I feel like I’ve grown up with them and can’t wait to see everything they continue to do in the future!!!

I started listening to GOTG a few months ago and it quickly made its way into my podcast rotation (read: binged the last year’s worth of episodes). It’s a great listen to get me through the middle of the week. Brooke and Danielle always make me feel like I’m chatting with my friends.

This is my favorite podcast in my rotation. It never fails to make me laugh. Brooke and Danielle are the funniest humans on this earth I swear. They go so well together!!! Love listening on my drive to and from Athens! (Go Dawgs). AMAZING!!!
