Nope
I don’t know J. Chase Davis. I’m sure I agree with him on a lot of issues. However, people have to start fighting against “performative masculinity.” On X, Davis recently insulted a genuine gospel-preaching brother based on his physical appearance. I guess he didn’t look masculine enough for Chase. This is shallow, foolish, sinful behavior. If Davis values his own testimony as a Christian, he should publicly repent. Insulting another brother in Christ to build your own platform isn’t honoring to Christ or His glorious gospel. I think pastors should spend more time shepherding their flock and being an example of holiness than doing podcasts and writing books.

Small Mind
He invokes Jesus while forgetting that He rejected the sword and confronted evil without humiliation or violence. A gospel that depends on contempt has already drifted from the One who chose the cross instead of victory through force.

This podcast is informative and interesting. So many podcasts are empty or worse. This one stands out from the rest, listen.

Lapsed, but not disengaged
As a lapsed Catholic I was hesitant to reach out past what is considered “approved.” I’m grateful that there are people pushing back against the hierarchy, wherever it is, in an effort to seek the truth.

He Gets Us
All of us. Just kidding. Love this podcast, and appreciate what J Cha Dave (can podcast listeners call you this?) is doing out there in the evangelical world.

An hour of nitpicking!
I’ve listened to Foolproof Theology with an open mind, even though I’m not theologically or politically conservative. I often find myself deeply uncomfortable—if not outright repulsed—by the positions they take. Episode 180, where they critique *Practicing the Way*, was a prime example. Rather than offering thoughtful engagement, they come across as dismissive and mean-spirited, tearing down a sincere effort to help people grow in their faith. No matter how they try to frame it, the tone reveals a reductionist and combative mindset. It’s hard to walk away from this podcast without feeling like their main goal is to score points, not foster understanding or spiritual growth.

Anderson’s explanation of Post-Mil and Revelation is thought provoking! As a postmil person I could not explain it clearer.

Great content
Enjoying this new-found podcast. I usually listen to podcasts on 1.5-2x speed but Chase talks so fast at times I have to slow it to half speed! Worth the time though. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great podcast!
Chase is a great thinker, combining a meticulous concern for truth with a graceful (dare I say, winsome?) style.

GREAT Podcast!
I think what I love most about this podcast is that whether I end up disagreeing with the conclusions of an episode or not, I really appreciate Chase’s thoughtfulness and conviction. He is what he is and doesn’t apologize for that. Even more so, he is a godly pastor who loves his flock and loves the local church. As a pastor myself, that’s something I can always get behind! Needed, Encouraging, and Convicting
Can’t recommend this podcast enough! Have been listening for a few months now and have loved everything that’s been discussed. I had the opportunity have take a class or two with Chase in seminary. As new and young pastor, I’ve greatly enjoyed hearing him discuss practical ways to apply theology in the context of local church ministry. Whether you’re an academic, pastor, or layperson, this podcast is for you! Much needed in our current cultural climate.
