The motherland. This one’s all about the first time visiting the Philippines and culture shocks, with Georgia’s cousins, Leah and Jessica! Leah talks about excitedly meeting family for the first time with her broken Ilocano, the windy roads from Manila to Cagayan, and hearing the national anthem in church for the first time. Jessica recalls the first time she visited during Christmas and carolling with other kids to her most recent trip - from clubbing in Makati to surfing in La Union. We all share our stories from how we dealt with the heat, food poisoning, brownouts to the various modes of transporation and EDSA traffic. We also discuss culture shocks - the skin whitening and having to cover up. Where do we want to visit next? Lots of laughs in this one!
